I'm making Cinnamon Apple & Caramel swirl ice cream. How do I prepare apples?!

Question: I'm making Cinnamon Apple & Caramel swirl ice cream!. How do I prepare apples!?
Should I just cut them up into little pieces and throw them in!. Should I bake them first then put them in!? This will be the first time I use my ice cream maker so any other advice would help too!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
that sounds great I might just have to try that!. I would chop the apple up into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces toss in the Cinnamon and bake them for until they are soft!. Make sure they are cold before you add them to the ice cream which should be in the last 5 minutes of churning!. May also consider freezing them before adding them!.
I just got an ice cream maker and the biggest thing I can say is to make sure your canister is nice and frozen!. The first time I made anything I took it out of the freezer too soon and it didnt freeze the sorbet just chilled it considerably!. also you want to make sure everything is cool before putting it into the mixer!. Hope it turns out great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Peel the apples, then gently cook them in a sugar, butter, cinnamon mixture!. Let everything cool before adding to the ice cream mixture!. also to gild the Lilly I would add pieces of pie crust to the ice cream as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would saute them with sugar

and butter,Www@FoodAQ@Com
