heres an old favourite of mine,relatively easy!. its a dish from back home in cyprus!.
it translates to pasta in the oven!. but its not like those boring pasta bakes!.
ingredients
1 pack of pasta!. (spaghetti penne works best)
a good amount of minced beef (lamb or pork also works)
onions
salt
pepper
butter
plain flour
milk
1 egg
1 chicken stock cube
normal cheddar or halloumi
firstly boil a pan of water for the pasta!. put in salt to taste, one stock cube and a drop of olive oil!. cook pasta until al dente!. drain and put aside
then put a little oil in a frying pan!. chop up your onions very small and fry them till they go soft, then add your mince(you can add tomatoes to make like a bolgnese sauce if you like)
salt pepper to taste till cooked!.
now get a large baking dish or roasting tin and put half of your pasta in the bottom, then on top of that put all of your mince mixture!. then cover with the remaining pasta!. leave some space for the topping!.
to make topping!.
melt 2 big tablespoons of butter in a pan, then when melted pour in some flour till it absorbs the butter, keep on a low heat, then add some milk until you get a nice custardy consistency,not runny,then grate in your cheese and let it melt, when it bubbles pour this over your pasta and pop in the preheated oven until it goes golden brown and crispy on top!.
this looks hard but it isnt, and its so tasty!.

I love cooking and I have many favourite recipes!. However, this one tops them all being healthy, easy to make and delicious!. This recipe serves 4!. It only takes 20 minutes to prepare, and no time to cook!.
--Thousand Island Chicken Salad--
Ingredients
1 Barbequed or roasted chicken (shop-bought)
1 Advocado
1 Mignonette lettuce
Dressing
1 Cup of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of chilli sauce
1 tablespoon of tomato sauce
1/4 cup of olives, chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon of grated onion
2 tablespoons of finely shopped capsicum
lemon wedges
--Method--
1!. Cut the chicken into serving protions and set aside!.
2!. Wash the lettuce and drain!. Tear any large pieces into smaller pieces!.
3!. Cut the advacado in half, carefully remove the skin and discard of it!. Cut the flesh into thin slices!.
4!. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the advacado to stop it browning as well as adding a bit of flavour (best to do with just prior to serving)!.
5!. To make dressing: Combine Mayonnaise, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, olives (optional), onion and capsicum in a bowl!. Mix until combined well!. If the mixture is too thick, add a little milk!.
6!. Arrange the chicken pieces, lettuce and advacado on plates!. Drizzle with the dressing and serve immedietly!.

1 large onion, cut into thin strips
1 pound bacon, cut into strips
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package fettuccini pasta
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil in a large heavy saucepan over medium heat!. Saute shallots until softened!. Stir in onion and bacon, and cook until bacon is evenly browned!. Stir in garlic when bacon is about half done!. Remove from heat!.

2 2/3 cups dry potato flakes-- or real potatoes
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions!. Drain, pat dry and interleave in a damp towel to keep moist OR spray each noodle with cooking spray OR lightly apply some oil!.
In a separate large skillet over medium heat, combine the onions with the butter and saute for 5 minutes!.
Prepare the instant mashed potatoes according to package directions, but omit the milk!. Stir in the cream cheese until well blended!.
Place 3 noodles in the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish!. Spread 1/2 the potato mixture over the noodles in the dish!. Top this with 3 more noodles, followed by the other 1/2 of the potato mixture!. Finish by topping with the remaining 3 noodles, then top those with sauteed onions!.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly!. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before cutting!.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (14!.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
2 cups fresh broccoli florets
salt and pepper to taste
1 pinch dried oregano
18 ounces dry penne pasta
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
In a large skillet over medium heat, warm oil and add chicken; cook until slightly brown!. Add onion and garlic to cook for about 5 minutes or until garlic is golden and onions are translucent!.
Add tomatoes, broccoli, salt, pepper and oregano; stir well and bring to a boil!. Cover and turn down heat to simmer for about 10 minutes!.

3/4 cup bacon
1/4 cup butter
1 cup diced red onion
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup chopped green onion
1 pound grilled skinless, boneless chicken breast, diced
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS
In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook 2 cups cream until just bubbling!. Watch carefully, to ensure that it doesn't boil over!. Stir in bouillon and Asiago cheese!. Stir with a whisk until dissolved!. Add cornstarch mixture, and simmer until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly!. Mix in the sun-dried tomatoes!. Set aside, or cover and refrigerate for later use!.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil!. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain!. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet!. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown!. Drain, crumble and set aside!.

200g rice stick (pad Thai) noodles
2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
500g beef fillet steak, trimmed, thinly sliced
1 red onion, cut into thin wedges
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, cut into thirds
150g sugar snap peas, trimmed
1/3 cup plum sauce
1 tablespoon sambal oelek
1/2 cup salted roasted cashew nuts
1/2 cup coriander leaves
Method
Place noodles in a large, heatproof bowl!. Cover with boiling water!. Stand for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender!. Drain!.
Meanwhile, heat wok over high heat until hot!. Add 2 teaspoons of oil and swirl to coat!. Add one-quarter of the beef!. Stir-fry for 30 seconds or until sealed!. Transfer to a plate!. Repeat in 3 batches with oil and remaining beef!.
Add remaining 2 teaspoons of oil to wok and swirl to coat!. Add onion and stir-fry for 1 minute or until tender!. Add asparagus and sugar snap peas!. Stir-fry for 30 seconds or until asparagus is almost tender!. Add 1 tablespoon of cold water!. Cover and cook for 20 seconds!.

Casseroles are always great and easy to do!. Chicken and fresh veges are always acceptable!. Recipes are available on google [chicken casseroles]!. Easy and take around 1/2 hour preparation [veges mostly] and around an hour to cook!. Nothing else to do and very healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
