when you cook roast beef, put in into a pan, i like to put halved onions and a few cloves of garlic around the beef, cover the top of the beef in foil (once you rub it in oil pepper and salt, a few dried herbs is fine too) just so it doesnt burn or over cook the edges, 180 degrees, size depends on cooking time, after 40 mins you will see the juices at the bottom of the pan, get a big spoon and pour it back over the beef, do this twice during cooking, once cooked, use the pan juices for gravy!. skim the excess oil with a spoon off the top and use the pan to cook the gravy in, i still use gravox powder or gravy grains (depends on what country your in) add white pepper and add it to water then pour in the juices and still over heat till thickened!. if u want to do the gravy from scratch click the link, its a good one http://www!.videojug!.com/film/how-to-make!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hi, the gravy comes from the meat in the pan when its cooked, a good way is to cut an onion into a 1 inch round piece and rest the beef ontop before you cook it, when cooked remove beef and add some flour stirring until there is no lumps add some water from the spuds or greens you have cooking stir well add some gravy browning to make it a bit darker if you wish , light gas under gravy and stir until its starts to bubble add more liquid if its gets to thick, the onion gives it a nice flavour, good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
