Actually to duplicate the salsa used in Mexican Restaurants you will need to purchase a cookiing utensil knows as a Molcajete!. It is basically just a big motar and pestle!. You can see what they look like at http://www!.mexgrocer!.com/9117!.html or http://www!.chefscatalog!.com/product/2107!.!.!. !.

You can also use a blender but the consistancy will not be as good as with a Molcajete!.

Just place a couple of garlic cloves in the molcajete along with a small chopped onion and a fresh jalapeona (seeds removed)!. Grind these up with the pestle and then add a large can of chopped, crushed, or diced tomatoes, salt to taste!. Always add some chopped cilantro to the finished product to taste!. It will just not be the same without the cilantro!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
