Beef and Rice Casserole
1 lb ground beef (browned and drained)
2 envelopes brown gravy mix
Water (as needed on gravy mix package)
1 c!. rice (cooked)
add onion powder and garlic salt to taste
Directions:
Cook rice according to package directions while browning your ground beef (you can also use ground turkey)!.
Drain ground beef and add gravy mix and amount of water called for in 2 packages of mix!. Stir over medium heat till thickened!. Add cooked rice to beef and gravy mixture!. Stir together, add salt and pepper to taste!.
Variations:
Add cooked macaroni or egg noodles instead of rice!. Stir in cooked vegetables (broccoli is excellent), mushooms and/or a splash of soy sauce for extra flavorWww@FoodAQ@Com

You could make a variation on an old family recipe of mine-the original featured cooked crumbled bacon and green beans but any protein and veg will work!.
Brown the burger and crumble it up fine!. Add any spices or seasonings you like after draining off grease, Combine with cooked rice and steamed broccoli!.Drizzle with a little of the grease for flavor if desired!.
You could get fancy and top with shredded cheese and put it under the broiler until browned as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook the rice,while that is cooking cook the hamburger and drain the fat off!. Add some broccoli and if you have onion add that too!. Scoop the rice out and add the the hamburger mix!. Season with what ever spices or whatever you have on hand/like!. Cook just enough to combine!. Sprinkle with cheese and dinner is sereved!.
Or hamburgers with melted mozzerela (serve with bread slices for buns or just the burger alone!.)

make a meat loaf with the cheese and rice mixed in (add diced onions and your favorite herbs or seasonings!.) serve steamed broccoli with some of the cheese sprinkled over!.

brown the hamburger,lightly steam the broccoli (or not, doesn' t matter) and cook the rice!. drain the burger mix together with rice and broccoli!. add Cream of mushroom soup (mixed with 1 can of milk) bake in a 350 oven for 25 minutes, spread cheese on top, bake for 5 more minutes and serve!. Make some meatballs with the hamburger and some mozzarella cheese mixed in, make the rice like you normally would, cut the broccoli into bite size pieces, steam it, mix it with the rice, server it topped with meatballs and a sprinkle of the cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
