What are good type of salads to make?!
i made one with diced onions cucumber and chopped up tomatoe, i added two tables spoons of E!.V!.O!.O!. two tbsps of lemon juice and some salt, so what type of salads do you make taste good and are healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Creamy Chopped Cauliflower Salad
5 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 small shallot, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3 cups chopped cauliflower florets (about 1/2 large head)
2 cups chopped heart of romaine
1 tart-sweet red apple, chopped
Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, shallot, caraway seeds (if using) and pepper in a large bowl until smooth!. Add cauliflower, romaine and apple; toss to coat!.
Rainbow Chopped Salad
1 1/2 cups chopped bell peppers
1 1/2 cups chopped broccoli florets
1 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup diced radishes
1/2 cup Orange-Oregano Dressing or Creamy Dill Ranch Dressing (recipes follow)
1 tablespoon minced red onion
Place bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, radishes, dressing and onion in a medium bowl!. Toss to coat!. Refrigerate until ready to serve!.
*Orange Oregano Dressing*
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
1/2 cup orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano or 3/4 teaspoon dried
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Place all ingredients in a jar!. Cover and shake to combine!.
Eating Well Power Salad
6 cups mixed salad greens
1 cup shredded carrots
2 tablespoons chopped red onion
1/4 cup dressing, such as Creamy Dill Ranch Dressing (recipe follows)
10 cherry tomatoes
4 slices roast turkey breast, cut up (3 ounces)
2 slices reduced-fat Swiss cheese, cut up (2 ounces)
Toss greens, carrots, onion and dressing in a large bowl until coated!. Divide between 2 plates!. Arrange tomatoes, turkey and cheese on top of the salad!.

3/4 cup nonfat cottage cheese
1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
2 tablespoons buttermilk powder (see Note)
2 tablespoons white-wine vinegar

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
With the food processor running, add shallot through the feed tube and process until finely chopped!. Add cottage cheese, mayonnaise, buttermilk powder and vinegar!. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary, about 3 minutes!. Pour in milk while the processor is running!. Scrape down the sides, add dill, salt and pepper and process until combined!.
Shrimp Cobb Salad
3 cups chopped hearts of romaine
5 grape or cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced cucumber
1 hard-boiled egg, sliced (see Tip)
5 cooked peeled shrimp (31-40 per pound)
Freshly ground pepper to taste
2 tablespoons light blue cheese dressing
Combine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, egg and shrimp in a bowl!. Season with pepper!. Toss with dressing and serve!.

Radicchio, green leaves salad, red onion, a chopped tomato, a peppercorn chopped, some shredded carrot and finely shredded beet, fresh mushrooms finely sliced, an avocadoe sliced, your favorite cheese diced!. I prefer no vinaigrette at all but, if you must, olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt and pepper ( freshly crushed of course! )!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
that sounds good I have to try that sometime!. Its kind of like and cumber salad but with out the heavier oild and vinegar dressing!. Heres a quick and easy salad
Snow Pea Salad
1 pound snow peas, trimmed
1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon mirin or dry sherry
2 teaspoons white vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
a few gratings of fresh ginger
Steam the snow peas for NO MORE than 1 minute; then rinse them quickly under cold water and drain them well!. Your goal here is to have them seem raw without being obnoxiously so!. T
oss the drained snow peas with the toasted sesame seeds!.
In a medium bowl, combine the other ingredients and toss the snow peas with them!. Let the salad sit for at least 30 minutes before serving at room temperature!.
Can also chill for a few hours and serve it cold!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
