Answers:
If you have a gas stove in the kitchen start a few briquettes on each burner by setting them on the burner grate!.

When the start turning white use tongs and put them in a pan to transfer to the grill let them get more white and stack more briquettes on top of them!.

It does work and will not harm you stove, an electric stove will work also!.

Been there, done that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

DO NOT use gasoline! The fumes are flammable, NOT the liquid itself!. It's just dangerous!.

Not sure if it will help you tonight, but get a "Charcoal Chimney" from a hardware store!. You stuff newspaper in the bottom, then fill the top w/ charcoal (not match-light kind, but regular kind)!. Then you light the newspaper and it lights the coal\!. Then you dump them into the pit after 15-20 min!. No need for fluid, and you can use up newspaper you'd otherwise pitch or recycle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say to gather some small sticks and pile them onto crumbled up paper , then put your charcoal on top of that!. The lighter fluid is really just there to keep the fire going long enough for the coals to light completly!. Might be a good time to introduce yourself to your neighbors (to borrow some charcoal)Www@FoodAQ@Com

what ever you do don't use gas if you don't know what you're doing try tear up alot of paper and put it underneath the charcoal and light the paperWww@FoodAQ@Com

gas is you are brave but be very careful and dont use much!. also oil for your car, again be very carefulWww@FoodAQ@Com
