Question: Recipes my family would like!?
Ok so my mom's foot is broken really bad and the pain medicine makes her nauseated so now i have to cook for everyone in my family, which is three other people becides myself!. I am 15 and new to cooking, so i only know a few recipes!. I am a good cook, and i'd probably be good at anything you guys recommend as long as it has good directions!. I am particularly looking for good dinner recipes, or possibly non-alcoholic drink mixes (ex a cranberry spritzer)!. So anybody please help me if you can!!!

And please dont just give me a link to allrecipes!.com or whatever, unless its a particular recipe, cuz i have already been on that website!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

COLA CHICKEN
(And more variations of recipe…my preference…wings or ribs)

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 cup catsup
1 12oz!. can cola (pepsi, coke, etc!.)

Put chicken in a non-stick pan!.
Mix together catsup and cola, pour over chicken!.
Bring to a boil!. Cover, reduce heat and cook 45 minutes!.
(turning chicken a few times, while cooking!.!.!.to prevent from sticking to pan)
Uncover, turn up the heat and continue to cook until the sauce
becomes thick and adheres to the chicken!.
It turns into the most incredible BBQ sauce!. Yummmm!

You can double the recipe and use more pieces of
chicken!.!.!.!.wings!.!.!.would be ideal!.!.!.add some hot sauce!.!.!.!.presto "Hot Wings"!

I have used Ribs, just as good!.

I tried this recipe with 'meatballs'!.!.!.!.was equally
as good!.!.!.served over rice!.
I found another variation!.!.!.!.!.omit the catsup and add a small jar of Salsa (any variety)!.
I have tried using Salsa (omitting the catsup!.!.!.!.not)!.
You'd think a recipe with only '3' ingredients couldn't be messed up!.!.!.!.wouldn't you!?!?
Well!.!.!.while I was preparing to fix the 'Cola Chicken' recipe
using Salsa!.!.!.!.!.I was also trying to carry on a conversation with my
husband!.!.!.(just proves!.!.!.I can't do two things at once)!.!.!.!.mixed Salsa & Catsup (before I realized I was supposed to leave out the catsup) & Cola!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.still turned out really tasty (to me)!.!.!.might be a little sweeter than some of you like!.

I fixed chicken wings, (using the above recipe)
but!.!.!.I added the spices from a MILD (I don't care for "HOT") Buffalo Wings packet!.!.!.(the kind you get to bake in the oven)!.!.!.!.!.I thought it was really good!.!.!.!.!.(but you/I can't find a 'bad' way to fix chicken)!.

Finally!.!.!.!.!! I fixed the 'SALSA' chicken!.!.!.!.!.!.that's good , too!.
Another (bright)idea!.!.!.!.!.I thought of trying!.!.!.!.!.!.replace the
catsup with a bottle of Shrimp Cocktail Sauce!.!.!.and add a bag of (pop corn) shrimp!.!.!.!.!.!
Fixed the shrimp with cocktail sauce!.!.!.!.!.!.eh!.!.!.wasn't all that
great!.!.!.was OK!.!.!.probably won't be fixing it again!.
also tried beef stew cuts!.!.!.!.!.!.that was pretty good!.!.!.!.!.I can see
myself making this again!.
Served both over rice!.!.!.!.!.think the stew cuts would have been just as
good over noodles!.
Try little cocktail wieners/sausages…for appetizers!.
Pork chops…porksteaks!.


CRUNCHY ONION CHICKEN

1 1/3 cups French’s Original French Fried Onions
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 egg, beaten
LIGHTLY CRUSH:
Onions in a plastic bag!.
DIP:
Chicken in egg (put egg in plastic bag)
COVER:
With onion crumbs, press firmly to adhere to chicken!.
BAKE:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees!.
Place chicken on lightly greased baking pan!.
Sprinkle with additional onion crumbs, if desired!.
Bake for 20 minutes or until no longer pink in center!.

Mushroom Chicken
4 boneless/skinless chicken breast (or any pieces you like)
1 can cream of mushroom soup!.
1 can water
Place chicken in crock pot (or sauce pan for stove top cooking)
mix soup & 1 can of water together
pour over chicken
cook on medium heat until boiling then reduce heat and cook until chicken is really tender & falling apart!.
Serve over noodles or rice or dressing!.!.!.!.or!?!?!?

CHILLI DOG CASSEROLE
1 pkg!. (8) hot dog buns
1 pkg!. (8) hot dogs (use more if you like)
1 can Chilli (15 oz!. without beans, use more if you want)
1 small onion (chopped)
2 cups shredded cheese
mustard
DIRECTIONS: Pre-heat oven 350 degrees
In a 9" x 13" baking pan, break up hot dog buns (bite size) and spread in pan!.
Cut up hot dogs (about 1/2" size) spread over buns!.
Spoon/spred chilli over hot dog/buns!.
Sprinkle onions over all!.
Squirt mustard over entire mixture (don't spread!.!.!.just make a few lines both ways across mixture)
Cover with shredded cheese!.
Bake until cheese is melted and bubbly!.
(Hint: If using extra hot dogs & chilli, don't add extra buns!.)

EASY BEEF STROGANOFF
Ingredients:
3/4 lb lean ground beef
1 jar Heinz HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy (12 oz Jar)
1 can mushrooms, drained (7 oz can)
1/2 cup sour cream
4-6 cups hot cooked noodles
salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
In a medium skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and thoroughly cooked!. Carefully drain liquids and return to stovetop!. Stir in Gravy and mushrooms, and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally!. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, until thoroughly combined!. Add salt and pepper, to taste, and serve immediately over hot noodles!.

Mix one can of good baked beans
We use a good sized can of beans (14-16 ounces, I think) and
get a kind that we like (maybe with brown sugar, onion, and bacon)!.
There are several kinds of good baked beans!.
and a package of Oscar Meier Weiners (all sliced up)!.
with a can of whole kernel corn (drained)
Any way, heat up these three ingredients, and serve with brown bread

POT ROAST
Your choice of beef (to fit crock-pot)
1 pkg!. dry Ranch dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Italian dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Brown Gravy mix
1 cup water
Put beef in pot!.
Mix together all the dry mixes…!.then add water …pour over meat and cover & cook on high 4-6 hours!.
Until meat is tender!.
The first time I mad it I didn’t have the Italian Dressing mix…!.so I added a pkg!. of Onion Soup Mix…!.I have to say I liked that better!.
If you use more water you might want to add more Brown Gravy mix…!.to make a thicker sauce!. Was gonna add potatoes and carrots…but never got around to it!.

OLD SETTLER’S BEANS
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb!. ground beef1/2 lb!. bacon
1 chopped onion
Brown in skillet and drain excess grease!.

ADD:
16 oz!. can Red Kidney Beans (drained)
24 oz!. can Pork & Beans (drained)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Catsup
2 TBLS!. Molasses
1/2 tsp!. dry mustard
Mix Thoroughly !
Cook in a crock pot until!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!

A pen pal’s version: That recipe for the Settler's beans, mine was a variation, same ingredients, but you put the finished product in a 13x9x2 pan!. Heated it up in the oven, until hot, added a layer of frozen biscuits on top, bake until biscuits are brown!.


Kreamy Kool-Aid Pie
1-(6 g) package un sweetened Kool-Aid powdered drink mix
1-(14 oz!.)can sweetened condensed milk
1-(8 oz)container Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed!.
1-(9 inch) Graham Cracker Pie Crust (or Cookie crust)
Cool Whip for top (optional)

1!. In a medium bowl mix Kool-Aid and condensed milk, thoroughly!.
2!. Fold in Cool Whip!.
4!. If desired, spread more Cool Whip on top!.
5!. Chill for a minimum of 4 hours!.

White Cake Mix
2 Tablespoons water
2 eggs
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon almond extract

powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients, except powdered sugar!.
Drop batter (about a teaspoon per cookie) into a bowl of powdered sugar!.
Roll in sugar until it is an approximate shape of a ball!.
Place ion a lightly greased cookie sheet!.
Bake at 350 degrees about 18 minutes, until lightly browned!.
Cool on wire racks!. Makes about 4 dozen cookies!.
(Use any flavoring or cake mix you desire!.)

Banana Pudding

I usually double the recipe!.!.!.!.never any left-overs!.
Ingredients:
Bananas
Use instant Banana pudding or vanilla pudding fix by directions on box!.
Cool Whip!.!.!.add to pudding mix thoroughly!.
Vanilla wafers
Toasted coconut!.
Line serving dish with a layer of vanilla wafers (a row up the sides of dish, also!.)
Add a layer of sliced of bananas
Gently cover with a layer of 1/2 pudding mixture!.
Make a second layer of wafers, bananas & pudding!.
Top with some toasted coconut and/or crushed vanilla wafers!.

Tomato and bacon pasta

Fry some smokey bacon in a fairly large pan with a little garlic and any veggies you have lying around (peppers, mushrooms, onions etc!.!.) when its cooked add some passata (sieved tomato's, you can get it from the supermarket or just use a tin of chopped tomatoes if you would prefer) and about 1/2 pint of chicken stock!.

Turn the heat down quite low, get some water boiling in another large saucepan cook your pasta for however long it says on the packet, drain the pasta in a colander and rinse with boiling water from the kettle before serving with the tomato sauce and some salad on the side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Im only 11 but a good recipie would be simpley Potato Jackets with sour-cream, cheese, colslaw and beetroot!. It is a typicall irish potato jacket and if you have really big potatoes then it makes a meal!. All my mum does to cook the potatoes it cut a X shpe on the top of the potato and put in the micro wave till cooked! the x shape makes it easy to split open to put ingetdiants in!! Fish and Chips

Ingredients
6 potatoes
cooking oil
fish fingers(from a grocery store)
Vinegar
Salt
Pepper

Method:
Light your stove!. Place a frying pan with some cooking oil above it!. Fry fish-fingers until they have a visible brown crusty coat!. Peel potatoes and cut them into thin slices!. Turn up your stove and put on a pot of oil in which to deep-fry your chips!. Add a dash of vinegar into the pot as well as a tblspoon of pepper and salt and continue to deep-fry until the chips have a golden crust!.

Serve with the fish fingers!.
Add lemon to the fish and vinegar and salt to the chips!.

Creamy Baked Chicken Breast

4-6 chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken
sliced swiss cheese
seasoned dried bread crumbs
1 stick of butter

Lay chicken in 9 x13!. Cover with cream of chicken (you can used more cream of chicken depending on how much extra gravy that you want)!. Then top with slices of swiss cheese!. (I cover the whole pan with cheese) Sprinkle bread crumbs all over the top!. Melt butter and pour that over all of it!. I am 30 and have been cooking since I was about 10yrs old (single mom, 5 kids, I was 2nd to oldest so I had to learn early)!. Here are some very simple but tasty meals!. You can change these to suit your taste!.

1-Spaghetti
1lb spaghetti - boil as stated on pkg
1lb lean ground beef (or you can use turkey or no meat at all)
chop 1 small onion
chop 1 green bell pepper
can add mushrooms if you like
1 jar spaghetti sauce (any brand - I use ragu chunky veggie)
1 tsp of oregano and basil (dried)

Directions:
add onions, bellpeppers and ground beef and fry in pan until meet is no longer pink!.
drain the grease from pan
add jar of sauce and spices, stir well and let simmer about 20 minutes!.

put sauce on top of boiled pasta and serve with parmesan cheese on top!. and garlic bread!.

2- Taco Salad

1 head of lettuce
1 large tomatoe
1 medium onion
2 medium avacados
1lb extra lean ground beef (or turkey)
1 pkg less sodium taco seasoning
1 bag of tortilla chips
shredded cheese (I use kraft extra sharp)
1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)

Directions:
Brown meat until no longer pink
Drain grease
add taco seasoning (follow pkg directions)
Let simmer for 20 min on low, stirring occasionally
clean and chop all veggies!.
Warm beans in microwave

Layer salad:
Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avacados, beans , meat, cheese and then crush tortilla chips on top!.

Get a masrshmallow!. Microwave it for 15 seconds!. (optional)
To melt chocolate,put it on a plate, on top of a bowl of hot water!. Or microwave it!. Though it may explode, so try 5 seconds!. Like always, put it between graham crackers
OR vanilla (nilla) wafer cookies!.

Spaghetti & tomatoe sauce:

Buy a box of spaghetti!. (Barilla is my fave brand)
Now cook it!.!.!.

Fill water halfway to the top in a pot!. On the stove!. Turn on the heat / fire!. Drop 1 chicken bullion cube into the pot!. (you usually use it for soups, it flavors it in a salty chicken way!.)

Once the water is at a rolling boil(that should take about 10 minutes), or is bubbling much, put your desired amount of spaghetti in the pot!. Then, stir and turn the heat lower!. Push the spaghetti in,a little!.Just stir once in a while until it boils again!. When it boils, again, turn heat off, and if the spaghetti is wobbly, just drain the water, put it on plates, pour some sauce or cheese, and eat!

BLT:

Easy!. Bacon, Lettuce, Tomatoes!. If they don't like it, add ketchup! IF you don't know how to cook bacon, it should have directions on the container!. Oh, remember to slice the tomatoe!.


French toast:

Get a piece of bread!. Preferably white bread!. Then, in one bowl, put 1 forkful or cornstarch and 1 forkful of powdered sugar!. Crack one or 2 eggs (depends on how much you make) Pour some milk up to half of the bowl!. Now stir and beat it with a fork!. Now place a pan on the stove, put a little butter on it and spread it with a spatula!. Finally, dip the bread on the flat side of it!. now put it on the pan!. once it's sizzling - ish, flip it with spatula!. Just keep flipping and sizzling until golden brown or toasted!.


Shirley Temple:

Get some grenadine, (non-alchoholic flavoring CHERRY SYRUP) and put a spoon ful into a glass of SPRITE, stir it, add some ice cubes,and maybe a cherry to make it fancy!.

Very easy dinner from your cupboard

1 can (medium to large) Salmon or tuna
2 or 3 cans of italian tomatoes, if they are whole, squish them
1 large onion diced
a cup of frozen peas or zuchinni, or whatever is green
a diced bell pepper/capsicum if you find one in the fridge
1 and a half packets of pasta

In a saucepan big enough for all except the pasta!.
oil, fry onion, add garlic if you like, add capsicum & zuch & whatever needs cooking and cook slowly on low to med, remember you can't unburn stuff, when it looks at least half done add your tomatoes and stir, add some dried Italian herbs if you find any, half a teaspoon is great, add pepper and a pinch of sugar and some salt, only a little!. Bubble this away for about 20 then add your Salmon (skin & bones rememoved if any) or your drained tuna (kitty gets the juice) and your frozen peas!. While all this is going on, cook pasta and drain, then add back to its empty pot!. Remember to add some of the more liquid of the sauce to pasta so it doesn't form a huge mass, then stir thru the hot sauce to coat pasta well and bowl up and add more sauce on top!. This can be made with bacon instead of salmon/tuna!. or ground chicken or beef!. The sauce is light so mum should be ok!. Make a green side salad!. taco's!.!.!.!. buy a sachet of taco seasoning mix, and follow the package direction on it!. (usually involves frying up some ground beef and adding sachet powder seasoning and some water)!.!.
then get the prepared taco shells!.!. and add the toppings, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, grated chedder cheese, sour cream, salsa, chopped onions, pretty much what you like!.!.

2nd meal!.!.!.
chili and cornbread!.!.!. buy a box or a bag of cornbread mix that you just add a few ingredients, like egg, milk, water, etc!.
and for chili!.!.!.
fry up 1 chopped onion, 1/2 chopped bell pepper, 2 garlic buds, in little oil!.!. add a pound of ground beef, and fry till no longer pink!.!. add 2 medium cans chopped stewed tomates and 1 small can of tomato paste!.!.!. add tsp sugar (addes flavor) generous amount of salt, and 2 tablespoons mexican chili powder blend (or if you find a chili seasoning sachet, that is ok also) !.!. let simmer for 30min while corn bread is baking!.!.!.

3rd meal!.
oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes and salad
take 2 or 3 pieces of chicken per person, dip in flour that has been seasoned with salt and pepper, and place on baking tray, drizzle a tiny bit of cooking oil or melted butter over top, place in oven on 350F and bake 30min till golden!.!. (will be done then)
meanwhile!.!. peel, chop and boil potatoes for 20 min, then smash with potato masher, add a couple tablespoons of butter, salt, and some milk to make creamy!.!.
chop up whatever you like in salad, lettuce, carrots, tomato, little green onion (or whatever veggies you have on hand)!.!. add some lemon juice, salad oil, salt and pepper!.!.!.

4th meal
spagetti and garlic bread
buy a huge can of prepared tomato sauce (like ragu etc) and a huge bag of spagetti noodles!.!. boil up noodles as says on package (usally 10min in a huge pot of boiling water), drain, heat up sauce in microwave or on stove top!.!.
you can even fry up 1/2 pound of ground meat to add to sauce and add a drained little can of sliced mushrooms also

then take a bagette bread stick!. slice lenth wise in half, then slice those into serving portions, and melt some butter, and spread over it!.!. add some garlic salt, then put on baking tray and put under broiler in middle rack of oven (on broil) for no more than 3 or 4 min!.!. (look constantly, cause they can brown quickly, do this lastly before serving meal)!.!.!.
you can add a salad to this also to round out meal!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chili-Mac is super easy and assuming your family eats meat, it's a sure-bet with almost anyone!. I've never served it to anyone (young or old) who didn't like it!. Depending on how hungry everyone is, you might need to make a double recipe, but a single recipe (as listed below) should be enough!.!.!.especially if you serve a salad or something along with it!.

Boil a box of macaroni in salted water!. It will take about 8-10 minutes to cook, once it begins to boil!. Drain and set macaroni aside!.

In a large skillet, brown one pound of ground beef!. Once the meat is no longer pink and is crumbled in the pan, stir in a packet of taco seasoning mix!. Mix well!. Add a can (do not drain) of petite diced tomatoes or crushed tomatoes (the 15oz sized can)!. Stir in a half of a can of whole kernel corn!. Mix the pasta into the meat!. Serve hot with grated cheddar cheese!.

Really easy to make is pastas!.

75ml cream
500gm finely sliced mushrooms
1 cup of water or white wine
300gm diced bacon OR cubes of chicken
2 cups of penne pasta
1 clove of minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

1!. Lightly fry the onion in olive oil with the garlic until
the onion turns translucent!.
2!. Add the bacon (or lightly cooked chicken) and mushrooms
3!. Add the cream and ? cup of water or wine
4!. Take the remaining liquid and mix with the dry soup powder!. Slowly adding the soup in to the mix while continually stirring!.
5!. Let the sauce simmer for 20 mins!. If the sauce is too thick add more water!.
6!. Taste to see if the mushrooms are cooked and mix with cooked pasta!.

That makes a really nice fettucini, OR you can get some pastry and wrap that around it for a nice pie!.

Heres the first one ill give you,

Light Chicken Penne with Tomato Cream Sauce
This dish uses evaporated milk rather than cream to achieve it's creaminess!. It's delicious, and you'll love it!.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Qty Unit Ingredient

1/2 lb Penne

1/2 lb Chicken breasts - boneless skinless

2 Tsp Vegetable oil

1 C Evaporated 2% milk

1 C Chicken stock

3/4 C Sun-dried tomatoes, soaked in water and chopped

3 Tb Parmesan cheese - grated, divided

1 Tb Tomato paste

2 Tsp Olive oil

2 Tsp Garlic - minced

1/4 C Basil - fresh, chopped




Instructions

Start a pot of water to boil for the pasta!. When ready, cook the pasta until al dente, then drain!.

Meanwhile preheat a skillet over medium heat with vegetable oil!. Cut the chicken into 1 inch pieces!. Cook until just cooked through!.

Meanwhile, in a blender, combine the evaporated milk, stock, tomatoes, tomato paste, olive oil, garlic, and 2 TB of the parmesan cheese!. Continue until well blended!.

When the pasta is done and drained, return it to the pot; add the sauce, and stir to combine!.

Serve the pasta garnished with chopped basil and the remaining Parmesan cheese!.

Well first for your Mum's nausea ginger in any form will help!. The easiest way is slice fresh ginger and pour hot water over and let it steep!. (can add honey to sweeten)!. Gingerbeer, crystalised ginger etc will also do the trick!.

For meals: Tea Bag Chicken
1 chicken whole or in pieces!. 2 tbsps soy sauce
1 pot strong tea, strained!. 1-2 tbsps honey
2 carrots
1-2 celery stalks
Spring onions
Sugar peas or ordinary ones if prefer!.
2 tbsps cornflour, slaked (mixed with cold water)
Rice (approx 1/3 cup per person uncooked)
Put tea, honey and soy in large pot, add chicken boil on med-slow heat for 1 hour!. Add sliced carrots and celery cook 10 mins add spring onions and peas cook 5 mins, taste and if need more salt add more soy!. Add cornflour and stir until thickened!. Serve with steamed rice!.

here are few recipes that are simple, nutritious and quick to prepare

Rosti
1 lb of potatoes
1 large onion
salt & pepper to taste
tablespoon of butter
2 tablespoons of olive or corn oil

Cut the onions in rings, and peel the potatoes and cut in small cubes
In a flat skillet , on a medium flame add the butter 7 oil and when heated add the onions saute for few seconds , till transparent , add the potatoes , salt and mix it, Cover this and cook on a low medium heat till potatoes are real soft- If the lower part is burnt , so much the better- as this will give a great flavor- Uncover, and if you want you can increase the heat so the bottom really gets a bit brown!.
You can serve this as a light meal with fried eggs!.

4 Chicken breasts flattened,
a spring of rosemary,
salt & pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of butter , 2 tablespoons of olive oil

salt & pepper the chicken breasts and pull out the rosemary leaves and sprinkle them on the chicken breasts!.

In a skillet melt the butter 7 olive oil, on high, lower heat and add the chicken breast and brown on one side for 3 minutes, turn over , brown them, now cover and cook on a real low flame 10 minutes, as that is the time it will take to cook the chicken thoroughly!.
Serve this with the dish above!.

Make a great salad
mixed lettuce one bag
2 cucumbers cut small
1 large tomamtoe, cut into bite sized Remove all seeds
1 nice orange,
1 apple, diced without skin
handful of walnuts or pecans or flaked almonds
Juice of 2 lemons or limes, a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar or splenda
handful of raisins
pinch of salt
add al the greens and fruit in a bowl and the juice and sugars+salt+raisin
Mix well, just before serving add the nuts
There is no oil and its very healthy
You can also add for texture some mozzarella cheese, then omit the raisins and add a few olives!

4 fillets of salmon, or tilapa or any other firm fish
Juice of 2 lemaons or lime
salt
few springs of Dill
tablespoon of butter
Pam spray or 1 TBSP of ollive oil
sprinkle salt on the salmon and add the lime juice- Kep aside for 10 minutes Add the dill
In a skillet add the butter &oil and lower the salmon and cook in on medium heat for 2 minutes, turn and do the same, lower heat and cook for 3 more minutes
There you go- serve with rice and salad

Chicken Casserole

1 (2 1/2 to 3-pound) chicken, simmered and de-boned
1 (10!.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup (8-ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 cup Miracle Whip brand salad dressing
1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, melted
Mix chicken, soup, cheese, mustard, and Miracle Whip in a bowl!.
Place mixture into a lightly greased medium casserole dish!.
Crumble crackers on top and drizzle evenly with margarine!.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) until bubbly, about 45 minutes!.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

4 pounds small potatoes, cleaned (unpeeled)
2 (5-ounce) packages garlic-flavored spreadable cheese
3/4 cup canned chicken broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
In a large saucepan, boil potatoes gently until tender enough to be mashed, about
30 to 40 minutes!.
Drain and transfer potatoes to a large bowl; mash with cheese, adding broth gradually until potatoes are of desired consistency; season to taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

6 cloves garlic, peeled
1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
Place garlic cloves in a small baking dish!. Drizzle with olive oil, cover, and bake 45 minutes, or until golden brown!.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil!. Add potatoes, and cook until tender but firm!. Drain, and transfer to a large mixing bowl!.
Place roasted garlic, milk, Parmesan cheese, and butter into the bowl with the potatoes!. Season with salt and pepper!. Beat to desired consistency with an electric mixer!.

This marinade adds a lot of flavor to your steak!. The acid from the lemon juice and vinegar will keep the meat nice and tender as it cooks!.

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons honey
4 cloves garlic crushed
1 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon ground black pepper

PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients!. Pour marinade over Steak, coating completely!. Let rest over night!. Turn steak over occasionally to allow marinade to soak in!.

Cook as desired!.

Grilled Cheddar Burgers with
Green Chiles & Grilled Red Onions

2 pounds ground sirloin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp chipotle chile powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
6 Ciabbata Roles
6 - 12 Slices sharp cheddar cheese
1 large red onion
Olive Oil
Romaine Lettuce
2 - 7 oz cans whole green chiles
Mayonnaise

Mix the salt, pepper, chile & garlic powders
and paprika!. Set aside!. Slice red onions about
1/2 inch thick, drizzle with olive oil!.

Divide ground sirloin into 6 patties!. Season
both sides spice mixture!. Cover with plastic wrap,
set out for 20 minutes!.

Start your grill,heat for 15 minutes!.

When grill is hot, place burgers on grill!.
Cook 4-5 minutes, rotating half way through
cook time to get grill marks!. Flip burger, cook
another 4-5 minutes, rotating again!. Cooked to
medium-rare!. During last 2 minutes, put a piece
of the green chile on the buger & top with 1 or 2
cheese slices!. Close lid on grill, allow cheese to melt!.

When burgers are done, let rest 5 minutes on
serving platter!.

Carefully place onion slices on grill after you
put the burgers on, cook 2-3 minutes per side!.

During last minute, split ciabatta rolls
down middle, toast on grill, about 1 minute!.

Spread mayo on each side of the bun, put lettuce
on bottom bun and the fantastic burger on the lettuce

2 APPETIZER IDEAS

PARMESAN STICKS
1 pkg!. puff pastry sheets, thawed according to package directions
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees!. Sprinkle cheese over your work surface!. Roll out the puff pastry on the cheese, turning a few times so the cheese is worked into the dough, until the dough is about 1/8" thick!.
Using a sharp knife or a pastry cutter, cut into 1/2" strips and carefully place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets!. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12-16 minutes until they are browned and crisp!. Cool thoroughly and remove carefully from baking sheets!. Store in airtight container!. Serves 16

Chipped Beef spread - mix the beef with room temperature cream cheese and a few tablespoons of chopped regular or green onions!. Salt to taste!. Serve with a knife to spread on the crispbread!.

MAIN COURSE RECIPE:
Chipped Beef on Puff Pastry (or toast)

2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm milk
1 (8 ounce) jar dried beef
1 pinch cayenne pepper

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter!. Whisk in flour all at once to form a roux!. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring, until thickened!. Bring to a boil, stir in beef and cayenne, heat through and serve over toast or baked squares of puff pastry!.

DESSERT
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees (takes 15 minutes)
Thaw and lay out the puff pastry on a baking sheet in a large rectangle!. Keep the pastry on the sheet in the refrigerator!.
Slice 4 oranges very thinly (peeling optional)!. Boil the slices in 4 cups of water with 2 cups of granulated white sugar for 30 minutes!. Set aside to cool!.
Pull orange slices from their syrup and place on the pastry so they cover the center, leaving an edge of about 1/2" all around!.
Bake tart for 45 minutes!.

While it's baking, boil the remaining orange syrup until it's about 1/2 its original volume!.

Remove from oven and brush or spoon on the reduced orange syrup!.

Allow tart to cool, serve with creme fraiche or very thick yoghurt with a little sugar mixed in!.

INGREDIENTS:
1 large head leaf lettuce -
rinsed, dried and torn into bite-
size pieces
1 cup cubed Swiss cheese
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 cup shredded Parmesan

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup white balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon freshly ground
black pepper

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Combine lettuce, Swiss cheese, feta cheese, Parmesan cheese and pecans in a large bowl!. In a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, and pepper!. Add dressing to salad and toss well


Creamy Stuffed Shells

INGREDIENTS:
1 (12 ounce) package jumbo
pasta shells
3 pounds ground beef
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons garlic salt 2 teaspoons parsley
1 (8 ounce) package cream
cheese, at room temperature
1 1/2 (14 ounce) jars pasta
sauce
1/2 cup freshly grated Romano
cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil!. Place shell pasta in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, and drain!.
2!. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!. Lightly grease a medium baking dish!.
3!. Place the beef in a skillet over medium heat, and mix in eggs, oil, garlic, garlic salt, and parsley!. Cook until beef is evenly brown!. Transfer to a large bowl, and mix with cream cheese and 1 cup pasta sauce!.
4!. Stuff the cooked pasta shells with the beef mixture, and arrange in the prepared baking dish!. Cover evenly with the remaining sauce!.
5!. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until bubbly!. Sprinkle with Romano cheese just before serving!.


Orange Sunshine Cake

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Combine cake mix, eggs, 1 package of pudding, vegetable oil, orange extract, and mandarin oranges and beat well for about 3 minutes!.
2!. Bake in 3 - 9 inch greased and floured round cake pans for 20-25 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree F (175 degrees C) oven!.
3!. To Make Frosting: Fold pudding and pineapple into whipped topping and frost cake!. Keep refrigerated!.

12 pita bread pockets
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)!.
Cut each pita bread into 8 triangles!. Place triangles on lined cookie sheet!.
In a small bowl, combine the oil, pepper, salt, basil and chervil!. Brush each triangle with oil mixture!.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy!. Watch carefully, as they tend to burn easily!

Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1 envelope Knorr Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Sauce Mix or Parma Rosa Sauce mix
28 ounces canned tomatoes, crushed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons butter
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
1 green bell pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 red bell pepper, cut in 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion
1 pound linguini, cooked
1 pound shrimp, cooked, peeled, deveined
Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in large saucepan over medium heat!. Add sauce mix, tomatoes, lemon juice, crushed red pepper, basil, and black pepper!. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes!. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter!. Cook vegetables for about 3 minutes, until crisp-tender!. Add to the sauce and simmer 5 minutes longer!. When pasta is almost done, stir shrimp into the sauce and heat through!. Do not boil!. Spoon Shrimp Primavera sauce over hot drained linguini!. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese!.

Peaches and Cream Pie:
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups fresh peaches - pitted, skinned, and sliced
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Directions
Line a 9 inch pie pan with crust!. Place peaches in the unbaked pie shell!.
Cream together the sugar and butter or margarine!. Add the egg, flour, and vanilla; mix together completely!. Spread this mixture over the top of the peaches!.
Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 1 hour!.

Ingredients
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
4 1/2 cups water
1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries, partially thawed
