Does anyone have a great chocolate cream pie recipe?!


Question: Does anyone have a great chocolate cream pie recipe!?
My mom used to make chocolate pie from scratch!. She would boil the cocoa and other stuff like a pudding or custard!. I can not for the life of me find a recipe that is even close to hers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are a couple of recipes that might fit the bill:

OLD-FASHIONED CHOCOLATE PIE

1 c!. sugar
2 tbsp!. cornstarch or flour
2 tbsp!. cocoa
2 c!. sweet milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tbsp!. butter
Dash of salt
1 tbsp!. vanilla
1 baked pastry shell
2 egg whites, beaten stiff

Cook first 5 ingredients, stirring constantly until thick!. Add butter, salt, and vanilla!. Stir well; pour into pastry shell!. Top with meringue and bake until golden brown!.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie

INGREDIENTS

* 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
* 1 1/4 cups white sugar
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 cups milk
* 4 egg yolks
* 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

1!. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt!. In a medium bowl, beat milk and egg yolks until smooth!. Gradually stir into sugar mixture!. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil!. Boil and stir for one minute!.
2!. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate, butter and vanilla!. Stir until melted!.
3!. Pour into pie shell!. Place plastic wrap over filling to prevent skin from forming and chill for several hours!. Top with meringue or whipped cream and chocolate curls if so desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
