Healthy Snacks!!?!


Question: Healthy Snacks!!!?
Okay so me and my sister are on a diet and we want to make something nice like muffins or a cake but we are on a diet!.

Has anyone got any ideas that we could make like a healthy muffin!. We love chocolate btw and we would like this to be in the recipe :P!.

Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

"A healthier version of a favorite breakfast treat! Bananas and strawberries lend a natural sweetness to these delicious and moist muffins!."


INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 bananas, mashed
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup frozen sliced strawberries



Method
1) Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!.

2) Grease 12 large muffin cups, or line with paper liners!.

3) In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce, oil, brown sugar, vanilla and bananas!. Combine the flour, baking soda and cinnamon; Stir into the banana mixture until moistened!. Stir in the strawberries until evenly distributed!.

4) Spoon batter into muffin cups until completely filled!.

5) Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the tops of the muffins spring back when pressed lightly!. Cool before removing from the muffin tins!.

Oat Applesauce Muffins

INGREDIENTS
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup applesauce
1 egg



Method
1) Place oats in a small bowl, pour in buttermilk!. Let sit for two hours at room temperature!.

2) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!. Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners!.

3) In a large bowl, stir together whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and brown sugar!. Stir in oat/buttermilk mixture, applesauce and egg; mix well!. Pour batter into prepared muffin cups!.

4) Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of muffin comes out clean!.

Low-Fat Corn Muffins

INGREDIENTS
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/3 cups cornmeal
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) can cream-style corn
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup egg substitute
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce



Method
In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients!. In another bowl, combine corn, water, egg substitute and applesauce; mix well!. Stir in dry ingredients just until moistened!. Fill muffin cups coated with nonstick cooking spray two-thirds full!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 17-20 minutes or until muffins test done!. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks!.




NOTES
For corn bread, use a 13-in!. x 9-in!. x 2-in!. baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray; bake for 20-25 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

low cal banana muffin
Ingredients1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup bananas, mashed
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup applesauce
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners!.


Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt!. In a separate bowl, beat together banana, sugar, egg and vanilla!. Stir in the applesauce and vanilla!. Stir banana mixture into flour until just combined!. Scoop batter into prepared muffin cups!.


Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean!. Let cool before serving!. For best flavor, place in an airtight container or bag overnight!.

Triple Chocolate Cookies

1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (not Dutch processed)
1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
1/3 cup coarsely chopped dark chocolate (2 ounces)
1/3 cup coarsely chopped milk chocolate (2 ounces)
2/3 cup chopped pecans, optional

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F!.
In a large bowl, mash together the butter and sugars with a fork until well combined!. Add the oil and egg and beat until creamy!. Mix in the vanilla!.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flours, cocoa powder, and salt!. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well!. Stir in the dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and the pecans and mix well!. Using a tablespoon, scoop the batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet!. Bake for 12 minutes!. example: banana cake!.
