I dont know if this is exactly what you are looking for but they are so good for side dishes or if you make them small they can be appetizers:

MAKES about 12 cakes ACTIVE TIME: 40 min TOTAL TIME: 40 min

3 medium (1 1/2 lbs) zucchini, cored, seeded, shredded (about 5 cups)
2 ears of corn, shucked, kernels removed (about 2 cups)
2 green onions, trimmed, chopped
2 Tbsp chopped fresh oregano
1 cup Hime Tempura Batter Mix (or 1 1/2 cups Bisquick)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 Wegmans Large Eggs
1/4 cup water
3 Tbsp Wegmans Vegetable Oil, divided

You'll Need: Box grater

Blend zucchini, corn, onions, oregano, tempura batter, salt, pepper, eggs, and water in large bowl until well-mixed!.

Heat 1 Tbsp vegetable oil in large skillet or griddle on MEDIUM until oil faintly smokes!.

Drop 1/2 cup batter onto large skillet and spread to form 3 to 4-inch pancake with back of spoon!. Make 3 more pancakes!. Cook about 3 min on first side, until golden-brown!. Turn over; cook 2 min!. Transfer to serving plate; keep warm!.

Add 1 Tbsp oil before each new batch of pancakes!. Repeat step 3 until all batter is used!.

Chef Tip(s):
To prep zucchini easily, scoop out seeds with a spoon, then use the medium-hole grate on a box grater to shred it!.
If using dried oregano, reduce to 1 tsp!.

We used the bisquix cheesy bread package so I dont know if you can use a can recipe but im sure you can!. Its not apple or cinnamon but you should try it sometime!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like cutting refrigerator biscuits into quarters and deep frying (usually takes 1-2 min depending on how hot the oil is)!. Then drop them right away into cinnamon and sugar to coat!. Perfect home made donut holes!.

You can also make a version of Monkey Bread!. Cut the biscuits into quarters and stack them in a bundt or tube cake pan!. Cover with butterscotch sacue (recipe below) and bake per directions on biscuit tube (usually at 350 for about 10 - 15 minutes)!. Once done, invert onto a plate and let cool!. Once cooled, remove pan and serve!.

Butterscotch Sauce

3/4 c Brown sugar,light

1/4 c Corn syrup,light

1 tb Butter or margarine

1/4 c Half-and-half

1!. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter in saucepan!.

2!. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly!.

3!. Remove from heat and stir in half-and-half and vanilla!.

Donut Holes!.

1!. Heat a pot of oil to 350 degrees!.

2!. Cut each biscuit into fourths!.

3!. Roll them into balls!.

4!. Place them into the hot oil!.

5!. Let them get golden brown!.

6!. Take them out of the hot oil!.
