So I need to make this tonight, sicne we have guests, I have everything else I need, what can I use in place of the wine!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can leave it out completely, just add the same amount of water or broth you would have used of wine!. But if you have white grape juice or ginger ale, those would be good substitutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The wine is usually just to give it a kick! Try using broth, consume, or something like that!. Or just ommit it all together, I dont think it will make that big of a difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A decent substitute for wine (I am thinking your recipe is calling for red wine) is juice!. Cranberry or grape juice (unsweetened) will do!. You can use apple juice in a pinch!.

But water or extra broth will not hurt anything either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

as a last resort use water with some seasoning only use the 1/4 cup though, but you could also use beef bullion cubes, or canned beef stock!. you could also try half beer half water, or half milk, half water!. good luck :(Www@FoodAQ@Com

Normally you use broth!. Consomme is probably even better but maybe a little richer/salty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

mmmmm u dont have to put wine i have made couple of stuff that requires wine but i dont do wine so i just didnt put none didnt made a differenceWww@FoodAQ@Com
