Question: How can I make my own caramel/chocolate apples!?
I had the BEST caramel/chocolate apple I've ever had!. It was dipped in both caramel and chocl!. with white chocl!. drizzled on it!.

Now I may not be able to replicate that exact same treat but how do I go about making my own choc!./caramel Granny Smith apples (these things are expensive)!? And why use Granny Smith apples as opposed to other kinds of apples!?

Would I need melted caramel and/or choc!. syrup for this!? Is this something I can make rather quickly!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No granny smith are no more expensive than other apples (except around holiday time)!. Anyway!.!.!.you can buy melting chocolate at any grocery store!. It's specially made to melt smooth!. I think you would have to dip it in the caramel (use those kraft candies) let it cool and set!.!.!.then into the chocolate and immediately in a freezer!. After it's all cooled!.!.!.drizzle the white chocolate over it!. mmmmm
Granny Smith are tart!.!.!.it will help offset the sweet of the candy coating!.!.!.or vice versa!. You don't want to use a real sweet apple!.

You cannot use syrup but need to use a chocolate or caramel that will harden when cooled!.

You just gave me an idea for my daughters next fundraiser!. LOLWww@FoodAQ@Com
