I love my homemade macaroni!. My recipe serves about 5 or 6 people!.
1) Put a pot of water on to boil, salt it!.
2) Boil 1 pound of macaroni noodles!.
3) Put 3 tablespoons of butter and one tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan on low heat!. Wait for them to melt into each other!.
4) Add 3 tablespoons of flour!. Whisk frequently, for about 2 to 3 minutes!. Make sure the flour has time to cook!.
5) Slowly stir in 1!.5 cups of milk!.
6) Stir the mixture around and then let it sit for a bit!.!.!.you'll want it to thicken a bit but not too much!. You can choose how thick you want your macaroni to be!.
7) Stir in 2 cups of your favorite cheese, one handful at a time, until it has all melted in!.!.!.
8) Add your cooked macaroni noodles!.
9) Transfer the pasta to a baking dish, sprinkle one more cup of cheese over the top, and broil for just long enough to melt that cheese!.
10) Enjoy!
Keep in mind that you shouldn't make or eat this terribly often as it is extremely unhealthy! You can make it healthier by using skim or low-fat milk and cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I really like homemade, but don't always have time for that, so I make the boxed stuff and layer it in a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese in between the layers and on top and then bake it til it is bubbly!. It is almost as good as homemade and better than just plain boxed!. Sometimes I sprinkle buttered toasted bread crumbs on the top in place of the cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I liked the boxed when I was little, but I had a bad experience with it like being chunky, and I didn't favor it any more!.
I prefer taking maccoroni noodles and putting them in a backing dish and putting layers of noodles, cheese, noodles cheese!. Yummy!. :] And maybe some bread crumbs, I can use different kinds of cheeses, and such!. It's great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Very seldom eat anything from a box!. Unless it's that Angus Beefheart stuff, now that's pretty good when you're drunk and starving and it's late and you can't drive due to the fact that you are seeing double even when covering one eye!.!.!.but trust me, you'll regret it the next morning - beefheartburn and sore angus, it happens every time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Homemade!. Boxed is blah!.
I wish I could spew out a recipe!. I make it from scratch with elbow macaroni, milk, cheese (usually cheddar), and butter and baked it in the oven at 350 for maybe half an hour!.
There are a number of good recipes online!. Try googling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like them both [:
My dad makes a lot of homemade meals, but we don't make our mac from pure scratch!. We just buy noodles, boil, buy a few different cheeses, melt, & mix!. Then we chop up some pepers & veggies and toss them in the mac too [:Www@FoodAQ@Com
