Answers:
I am a former chef and you can bread or batter feta as is does not melt like other cheese, but the cheese used for saganaki is not feta, but Kelifatori, similar but made from a combo of cows and sheeps milk, dipped in flour, pan fried in olive oil, flambeed with either ouzo or metaxia (a greek brandy) and the flames doused with a squeeze of lemon, served with crusty bread, I have made it and have greek chef friends the cheese is available at good greek grocery, if your not able to pronounce it just ask for the cheese to make "Sag-a-naki" , they will know what to sell you, it can be made with feta, bulgarian is best in a pinch, but the real thing is so much better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is a cheese that tastes a bit like Feta!. But you can fry feta!. Dip in flour, and fry in skillet that you have added some oil to!. Fry until brown on one side flip over fry other side!.
I think the dish you are talking about is called souvlaki( I think that is how it is spelled!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know what you mean!. I don't think it is feta!. (You mean the one they set on fire with ouzo, then say OPA! and put it out with lemon juice!?)

You can fry feta!. It's good mixed with mushrooms, battered, then deep-fried!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
