Answers:
I think it's a meal in itself!. Have a bunch of toppers handy, so people can help themselves: chopped cilantro, chopped jalapenos, shredded cheese, sour cream, black olives, fresh tomatoes or pico de gallo or salsa, green onions!.!.!.!. maybe a pan of cornbread, and you're done!Www@FoodAQ@Com

The way I make it, it's a meal in itself!. I cook beef and onions in beef stock with chili peppers added!. (Along with other seasonings!.) When I serve, the sides are beans, diced raw onions, sour cream, rice, and shredded cheddar cheese!. The rice isn't really a side!. Myself (and many of my guests) like to put a small layer of rice into the bowl before we put the chili over it!. The only real side I serve is a simple green salad, and corn bread!. Top the chili with onions, sour cream and/or cheese if you want, and some people like beans instead of rice!. (Come to think of it, some like both beans and rice!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is pretty much a meal in itself!. You can add some good crusty bread or cornbread for dipping!. But what would be really nice after that hot & spicy meal is a cool, light dessert - maybe strawberry shortcake, some kind of fruit crumble, or even just plain sliced fresh pineapple!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really is a meal in itself!. However I would have some crackers and different toppings like sour cream and onions!. Hot peppers for the braver ones in your group!.
Something light for dessert like a sorbet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
