i have plain flour,bi~carbonate of soda,eggs~milk~also!.

3 3/4 c Unbleached flour
5 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/3 c Butter

2 1/2 c Cheddar; sharp
1 1/2 c Milk
2 ea Eggs; lg, slightly beaten

Combine the dry ingredients, then cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then add the cheddar cheese!. Combine the milk and eggs then add the mixture to the cheddar mixture!. Stir until just moistened, then spoon into a greased 9 X 5-inch loaf pan!. Bake at 375 degrees F!. hour!. Remove from the pan immediately and let cool on a wire rack!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No Yeast Bread

The vinegar is essential because baking soda requires an acidic component to do its work!. You could also use buttermilk, or milk with 2 tsp of cider vinegar added!. This recipe makes a 2 lb!. round loaf!. Use a pizza pan for baking, preferably one of the silvertone no-stick type!. Otherwise you will need to flour the bottom where the bread rests to keep it from sticking!.

Preheat oven to 400oF!.

4 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp baking soda
1? cups water
2 tsp vinegar (cider or white)

Combine dry ingredients and mix!.

Combine water and vinegar!. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix!.

Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead for two or three minutes (no need to overdo it)!.

Shape into a round (about 1? to 2 inches high), then place on pan!.

Dip a sharp knife into flour and cut an 'X' into the top of the loaf!.

Bake 40 minutes!. Remove, and while hot, glaze with 1 tbsp melted or softened butterWww@FoodAQ@Com

Baking soda is bicarbonate of soda they are same thing!.
Soda bread is like normal bread but you use the Bicarbonate of Soda instead of yeast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can't really make any leavened bread without yeast!. But, you can make chapatis by mixing 50/50 wholemeal flour with a little oil, salt and water!. Mix until dough mixture is elastic like!. Roll out flat discs and dry fry in a tawa or hot pan!. Hope this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com
