by far one of the best desserts i have made so far has been peach cobbler!.!.!.!.!.!.
ingredients:
4-5 peaches (pitted and cut in !.5-1 inch slices)
1 cup sugar plus 1 oz sugar (measure these separately)
1 tbsp of FRESH lime zest
1 tbsp of FRESH liem juice
1!.5 oz lard (chilled and cut into pieces)
4!.5 oz!. UNSALTED butter (chilled and cut into pieces)
3 tbsp ice water
2 tbsp cornstarch
9!.5 oz!. AP flour (not bread or cake just all-purpose)
1 tsp of kosher salt plus another !.25 tsp

Preheat your oven to 375!.
In a food processor, process the flour, salt (1 tsp), sugar (1 oz!.) , and zest first!. Then add the fats!. Process until the mixture is crumbly!. Add the water via spritzer bottle for even distribution and process!. Keep adding water until the dough sticks together (just grab some and squeeze)!. remove the dough from the processor and shape into a disk!. Place the disk into a zip-top bag and store in your chill chest for at least 30 min so that the fats may firm up a little!.

for the filling, combine the sugar (1 cup), salt (1/4 tsp), and cornstarch!. Add the peaches and lime juice and stir with your hands!. Within minutes a sort of syrup will form!.

After 30 mins!. rmove the dough from the fridge!.
Grease a 9*9 baking dish with unsalted butter!.
Take a 1/3 of the dough, pinching it into pieces and placing it at the bottom of the dish!. Add the filling!.

For the covering, use a rolling pin to roll the remaining dough just large enough to fit over the top of the dish!. Make sure you roll the dough while it is still in the bag!. Cut the bag on its sides and invert (flip it) onto the top of the filling!.
Place in the oven for about 60 mins!.
You an just stop here for a soft moist crust or you can turn your broiler on low for 3 mins!. to brown the crust!. I prefer a soft crust though!.
Remove your masterpiece and let cool for 15-30 mins before serving!.

This is a great summer dish!. Enjoy!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Give us some guidance here; are you looking for really easy, or a little challenging!? What do you like!?
I've been cooking and loving it for about 35 years and I'd love to share with you!.
Here's a start:
Easy Meatless Chili
Chop up a clove of garlic and a small onion!. Put olive oil in a pan and heat it up until it is just hot enough that it sort of sputters when you add a piece of onion!. Now add the onion and garlic, and stir it for about a minute, until the veggies get soft (but not brown)!.
Add a can of tomato puree and a small can of diced tomatoes!. Add a can of red kidney beans and a tbs of chili powder and a bit of salt and pepper!. If you like food spicy, add some crushed red pepper or chipotle pepper!. Simmer on low for at least an hour and a half, stirring every once in a while!.
Serve with sour cream or shredded jack cheese!.
Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm hispanic and Dulce de leche is a suuuper tasty hispanic recipe :D

*Dulce de leche
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Remove the label from the can of condensed milk!. Poke two vent holes in the top, by using a can opener for example!. Put the can into a pot (with the holes up), and fill up the pot with water until it is a quarter inch or so below the top of the can!. Put the pot on a stove and turn up the heat!. Let the pot and can simmer gently for about one and a half to two hours for runny dulce de leche, or up to four hours for solid dulce de leche!. Add more water, as necessary, when the level boils down too much!.

When it's done, let it cool for a while, and then carefully open up the can completely and eat directly (for the solid variety) or use as a dessert spread (for the liquid variety)!.

The resulting product should be colored tan or brown!.

*Dulce de leche CAKE (even better!)

MAKES ONE 9" × 13" CAKE

Luxuriant moistness is this dessert's calling card!. The secret to achieving the cake's decadent texture is to poke it all over with a knife while it's still warm, before dousing it with a rich milk mixture so that it penetrates every part of the cake's interior!.

2 tsp!. butter
1 tbsp!. plus 2 cups flour
2 tsp!. baking powder
1 1?2 tsp!. fine salt
6 eggs, at room temperature, separated

1 12-oz!. can evaporated milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 16-oz!. jar dulce de leche (milk caramel)

1!. Heat the oven to 350°!. Grease a 9" × 13" baking pan with the butter and dust with 1 tbsp!. of the flour!. Invert the dish, tap out the excess flour, and set aside!.

2!. Sift the remaining flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl and set aside!. Put the egg whites into a large bowl and beat with a hand-held electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes!. While the mixer is still running, add the sugar in a gradual stream and continue beating again to soft peaks!. Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition!. Alternately add the reserved flour mixture and the whole milk in 3 parts, beating until smooth after each addition!. Add the rum and vanilla and beat again briefly until smooth!.

3!. Pour batter into reserved baking pan and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes!. Set the cake aside and let cool slightly for 30 minutes!.

4!. Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream in a bowl!. Using a knife, poke the cake with holes all over, penetrating to the bottom of the pan!. Pour the milk mixture over the warm cake and set aside to let cool completely!.
