Question: I'm making clams and pasta for dinner, what kind of sauce should I use!?
I love those white sauces you get with seafood dishes at restaurants, but I have no idea how to make them!. Other suggestions welcome as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Spicy Clam Sauce

Ingredients-
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
3 (10 ounce) cans chopped clams, drained with juices reserved
3 tablespoons dried oregano leaves, crumbled
ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)


Preparation-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat!. Add the garlic and drained clams; cook and stir for about 5 minutes!. Season with oregano, pepper, and red pepper flakes!. Pour in the reserved clam juice!. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 20 minutes!. Remove from heat and serve over pasta!. Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Red sauce (crushed tomatoes, oil, sauteed garlic and your choice of herbs oregeno, parsley etc) or a white (garlic and oil) both work well!. make sure clams open on their own, if not do not eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with the red sauce! I make a great one like the previous person!. I add a few shrimp a few scallops and some mussels yum yum!. few leafs of fresh basil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you should use alfredo sauce because it goes good with pasta and it is rich and creamyWww@FoodAQ@Com
