The ingredients are simple - eggs, a tiny bit of water, and butter (plus whatever you want inside, if anything)!. It's the technique that's tricky!. You almost need to watch someone, but here goes!.
Beat egg(s) with a tiny bit of water!. Heat some butter (don't be stingy but too much is a waste) in an omelette pan!. You know the pan is hot enough when the butter stops bubbling/foaming!. You want it nice and hot but don't burn the butter!
Put the eggs into the pan, swirling it so they keep moving as they set!. Once it is set a little, put it down and stop swirling!. This is when you put in the cheese or whatever you might want inside!. How long you leave it depends on taste!. To me, if it's cooked through it's not an omelette, but some people don't like them as soft!. When it's set, the next motion is hard to describe!.!.!. push the pan with the handle so that the edge furthest from the handle flips over onto itself!. Repeat until the omelette is folded properly!. You can give it another flip to finish cooking (not too long!) and then slide it onto the plate!. You should not need to use a spatula!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a really great way way of doing omelets-- put your beatten eggs in a sandwich size zip lock bag- add only the ingredients that each individual person wants in theirs- seal and microwave for about 1 minute to 1 and a half minutes till done -- everyone has what they want -with less mess and less time to prepareWww@FoodAQ@Com
