This recipe is so creamy and light!. I know you said you didn't want anything with anything added, but I'm telling you the onion actually gives it it's nice flavor! Just try it!. :)
Ingredients:
1 medium diced onion
1 teaspoon corn oil
1 (27 ounce) can diced tomatoes
3/4 cup water
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1!. Heat oil in soup pot over medium heat!.
2!. Add onion and allow to sweat for 5-6 minutes!.
3!. Add can of tomatoes, water, brown sugar, salt and pepper!.
4!. Check for personal taste on salt and pepper and add more if you wish!.
5!. Bring to boil and turn down!.
6!. At this time I use my immersion blender to puree the soup a bit!. If you don't have one, you can pop it in your regular blender, of if you like it chunky, do not do this step!.
7!. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes!.
8!. Garnish with sour cream, chives or croutons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

G'day mate, here's my all time favourite tomato soup recipe, the quantity should serve 4 people(if you're not too greedy & eat it all before they get to your place!!!)
MULGA'S TOPS ROASTED TOMATO SOUP!.
You'll need!.!.!.
1kg of Roma tomatoes,
5 nice fat cloves of garlic,
5 table spoons of olive oil,
1 teaspoon of dried basil (the dried stuff works better in this, but you can use fresh basil if you want, only tear it, don't cut it)
1 finely chopped onion,
1 red chilli finely chopped (don,t freak-out if you don't eat chilli, you'll hardly taste it, it adds a bit of complexity to the flavour of the soup)
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar,
2 teaspoons of softened brown sugar,
1 tablespoon of plain flour,
3 tablespoons extra of olive oil!.
4 cups of vegie stock (you can use chicken stock as well if you want)
1/4 of a cup of chopped flat leaf parsley (to serve)!.
Firstly, pre-heat your oven to about 200 celcius!. Cut your tomatoes in half, & lay them on a baking tray, cut side up with the garlic!. drizzle them with the olive oil, season with salt & pepper, & the basil!. Roast in the oven for about half an hour, & take the garlic out after 20 minutes!.
Heat your extra olive oil in a heavy based pan!.
Cook your onion & chilli for about ten minutes over a medium heat, & stir them frequently!.
Chop your tomatoes (careful, they'll be hot!), & add them to the pan with the roasted garlic ( chop that up too), vinegar, & brown sugar!.Cook that for about a minute or two, & add the flour!. Stir & cook that off for another minute or so!.
Take the pan off the heat& add the stock!. Whack it back on the heat, & bring it to the boil while stiring!. Lower the heat, & simmer for about 5 minutes, or a little longer if you want to reduce it a bit!. Season it to taste with salt & pepper, & add the parsley!.
Serve it with some nice crusty sour dough bread drizzled with some olive oil, & tell them you came up with the recipe on your own!!!
Cheers mate, enjoy!.

Put through fine sieve or pureer (to remove seeds and skins)!.
Can freeze and save at this point for later use!!
Melt butter in pot, stir in flour to make rue!. Add the chicken stock slowly, to avoid lumps!. Add tomato puree and balance of ingredients!. Season with salt and white pepper to taste!. Heat to serving temperature, but do not boil!.
Serve sprinkled with fresh chopped parsley!. Makes 5 to 6 cups!.
Note: Since we use fresh herbs, we find it does not need any salt!. You can substitute 2 tsp!. instant bouillon and 2 cups water for the chicken stock!. We have also used beef instead of chicken!.
