Question: Recipe for homeade doughnuts!?
I want to make some chocolate and vanilla glazed doughnuts for a bake sale!. I've heard of the "biscuit" way but do u need to add any sugar or antything!? Oh yeah, where can u buy chocolate and vanilla glaze!? What price!? Please help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Things You’ll Need:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2/3 cup of milk
1/4 cup of butter or margarine, melted
2 beaten eggs
2/3 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar for topping
Granulated sugar for topping

Step 1: Mix two cups of the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and a quarter teaspoon of salt into a bowl!.
Step 2: Combine the melted butter and milk into a medium bowl!.
Step 3: Add the eggs, sugar and vanilla into a large mixing bowl and beat for about three minutes (or until thick) with an electric mixer!.
Step 4: Add dry mixture and milk mixture alternately to the egg mixture!. Beat after each addition until combined, then stir in the remaining cup of flour!. Cover dough and chill for two hours!.
Step 5: Roll the dough until about half an inch thick on a floured surface!. Cut the dough with a doughnut cutter!. Keep the doughnut cutter floured!.
Step 6: Fry the homemade doughnuts in oil at 375 degrees!. Cook about one minute on each side or until a golden color!. Drain on paper towels and cool on a wire rack!.
Step 7: Sugar the homemade doughnuts by placing the warm ones in a bag of sugar and shaking them!. Powdered sugar or granulated sugar can by used!. The doughnuts can also be enjoyed plain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 tbsp!. butter
1 tbsp!. sugar
1 tbsp!. brown sugar
1 pkg!. yeast
3 c!. flour
1 tsp!. salt
1/2 tsp!. nutmeg
1 egg
Confectioners' sugar

Pour milk over butter and sugars; stir until melted and cool to lukewarm!. Add yeast, stirring until dissolved!. Sift flour, salt and nutmeg!. Gradually add half the dry mixture to milk; add egg and beat well!. Add remaining flour and leave dough in warm place for 1 hour!. Knead gently, roll to quarter inch thickness and cut into diamonds!. Allow to rise 30 minutes to 1 hour!. Fry in deep fat, 375 degrees and dust with confectioners' sugar or use confectioners' sugar glaze if desired!.
