What kind of pan should I buy to make fried chicken?!
I want to make some good fried chicken, I have a basic frying pan but I'm not sure that will work!. What would be the best pan to buy for fried chicken!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Definitely get your self a cast iron skillet!. Or a dutch oven if you want to deep-fry the chicken!. Cast iron is great because it holds heat well and distributes it evenly!. I use mine for practically everything! Its pretty traditional to use a cast iron skillet for fried chicken!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Nothing beats a good cast iron skillet for frying chicken!. Make sure it is "seasoned" (Seasoned as in the skillet gets heated up and then coated with lard) well and it will make perfect fried chicken and you also get extra Iron in your diet when cooking with it!. For even better chicken use Crisco or Lard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hands down cast Iron!.!.!. I have one that is a newer one and it sucks! I went to an antique store and bought a good old Griswold cast iorn pan it is awsome! I ended up buying 3 more!.!.!. they are worth the $$$!.!.!. just make sure that you properly clean and season your cast Iron pans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They make what they call a chicken fryer,!. I use it for all kind of things, its like a big skillet but is a lot deeper and has a regualr handle and a short one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
maybe a little thiker than the usual so the chiken might tate more better

I would say cast iron or enameled cast iron!. Just make sure it is a high-sided pan and never fill it more than half full of oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
