Question: Grapenut Pudding - Does anyone have an authentic and somewhat simple recipe!?
I just came back from a trip to Cape Cod, MA and in one of the 'Stop & Shop' type places they sold small aluminum containers of Grapenut Pudding for just about $2!.00!. I thought it was one of the best desserts ever!.!. Looking for recipes online but they're all fairly different!. Anyone have a tried and true recipe of their own for the real deal!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

GRAPENUT PUDDING
1 quart milk
4 beaten eggs
? cup sugar
? cup grapenuts
2 tsp!. vanilla
? tsp!. salt

Soak grapenuts and sugar in 2 cups milk for 15 minutes!. Add other ingredients, including the extra 2 cups milk!. Pour into a buttered 2-quart casserole!. Place dish in a pan of warm water and bake 1 ? hours in 300 degree oven!.

Everyone raves about this pudding! It’s definitely the best! My mother tried a lot of grapenut pudding !


GRAPENUT PUDDING

1 sm!. box vanilla pudding (instant)
2 c!. milk
1 bowl Cool Whip
1 c!. Grapenuts

Mix pudding mix and milk!. When pudding begins to set, add 1 bowl Cool Whip and most of Grapenuts!. A few can be used to garnish dessert!.

If you like crunchy Grapenuts, make up about 1 hour before serving!. For softer Grapenuts, can be made the night before!.

GRAPENUT PUDDING

1 c!. Grapenuts
2 c!. sugar
1 1/2 c!. grated coconut
2 tbsp!. cornstarch
1 1/2 c!. milk
3 or 4 eggs

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c!. milk
1 1/2 c!. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp!. cornstarch
Pat of butter

Mix pudding ingredients together and pour into baking pan!. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes (or until firm)!. Remove from oven and cool!. Then cover with sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
