Whole Grain Noodle Taste??!

Question: Whole Grain Noodle Taste!?!?
I would like to start eating whole grain noodles!. Im not sure how keen the rest of my family would be on the idea!.!.!.

Is there much of a difference in taste!? How about taste depending on brand!? ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I have incorporated it a little at a time into regular pasta!. My 9yr old hates it and says it tastes like 'Bread'!. It does hold the salt more than reg pasta, careful with that if you add salt!.

Best way would be to add it in portions to the other stuff!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There not so much a difference in taste, slight difference in texture; the noodles are firmer!.

We switched from regular spaghetti noodles to whole wheat; with the italian pasta sauce you couldn't even tell the difference!. I think with a mild tasting sauce the difference of taste would be more pronounced than with a spicier sauce!. Could always start out with whole wheat spaghetti with red pasta sauce (with italian spices) and see if the family notices the difference and then take from there to other whole grain pasta dishes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just started buying whole grain pastas so that's what i cook with!. i just didn't say anything!. nobody has ever complained!.
you could always start off slow by using 1/4 whole grain 3/4, then moving on to 1/2 and 1/2, etc until you are only using the whole grain pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love whole grain noodles, but some of my family don't!. Yes it is a different taste!. The best is Barillo with fiber benefits!. My family like that one and it has whole grain in it!. Here's the web site so you can read about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've had them and they have a little different texture!. Taste is them same unless you're eating them with no sauce!. Sauce hides any difference!. They do have alot of fiber in them!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have tried a few different brands and I don't really find any difference in the taste!. I have found that you have to cook more than regular noodles!. They don't see to swell as much!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really doesn't taste bad!. I love it! You can tell the difference but if you put lots of sauce and stuff you can't really tell! I like all of the brands equally!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
