I need help with my protein shake!?!

Question: I need help with my protein shake!!?
i bought a vanilla flavoured protein powder and i tried blending it with strawberries, a banana, and a splash of orange juice but it tastes powdery!. Its not really the flavour that bothered me that much even though it wasn't great!. it was more of its texture when its in your mouth!. it has a powdery like texture even though i blended it for a really long time!. what can i do to get rid of the powderyness of it!.

do you think i should disolve it in really hot water first then mix it in with some cold fruits, juice, ice then blend!? do you think this would make the powdery feeling go away!. i cant stand that feeling but i still want to have the protein shakes!.

please help and thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You need enough liquid/ice to make a glass full!. Try putting 8oz of juice (pineapple's good too) with the powder and fruit into a blender!. Or use juice with enough ice to make 8oz!. The instructions on the powder jar should tell you the exact amount of powder and liquid to use to make a serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you would need more than a splash of juice!.

I prefer mine with some skim milk!. You pour about 1/2 a cup, sometimes a little more!.
With 1 banana, a couple of strawberries, and a bit of honey!. Blend with some ice cubes to even out the texture!.
Or, what I do is use frozen strawberries and bananas instead of ice cubes!. The frozen strawberries are often fresher than the "fresh" strawberries I find in my market!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My be it could be the orange juice!. Have you tryed mixing it with Ice cream!. But if you are disparate for nourishment, why not try ready made nourishment drink call Fortisip with all different flavors it is just as good!. it dosent matter about the test, at the end of the day it is about your health that matters just ignore the test!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Did you use a blender and some ice cubes!?

Blend it well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
