Slice them up and put them into a container with half lemon juice and half water!. Make sure you seal the container from all oxygen and they'll be fine for the week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Oxidation (browning) occurs when the inner fruit is exposed to air!. Sprinkling lemon juice (vitamin C) over the cut apples will slow the oxidation process; however, it won't slow it for a whole week!. You may get a day or two out of it though by doing this!. I cut my apple and put it in a bowl, then I squeeze lemon juice from one of those plastic lemons from the grocery store all over them and cover with saran wrap and it does last that day and the next!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Put the sliced apples in a zip loc bag!. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the bag of apple slices!. Seal the bag, squeezing out as much air as you can!. Shake, shake, shake so that the lemon juice coats all sides of the apple!. They will last for several days without browning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Toss the apple slices in fresh orange juice, drain and store in a plastic ziplock bag, take the air out!. The only problem is, they won't last a week; but you could slice them up every other day and they should be just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
