Hm!. If properly cooked, rice shouldn't "stick" together!. I always wash my rice before I cook it!. You may want to try that!. Remember to always use the right amount of water!. Too much can lead to a sticky mess!. I use a rice cooker so it's easy for me! ^^ Just fill to the line!. Maybe you should also try switching your brand of rice!. Maybe you are acutally using "sticky rice" or sometimes known as sweet rice!. It is a short grain rice that is extremely sticky!. Try maybe jasmine rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My way of cooking rice, is to wash it with hot water and continue with cold water, until clear!. When done prepare your pan with water and add butter or oil, for the non stickiness!. Then you will allow the pan to come to a boil and then add your rice!. Measurement is the key, every portion or rice and water must be right!. Too much water will make it soggy, less water may cause it to not cook properly!. Add salt then stir twice!. Place pan top and allow to sit in for about 10 minutes, check on the rice and stir one more time, to take the rice at the bottom to the top of pan!. Allow it to sit another 5 minutes, your rice is done!.

Hope this help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rice can be very hard to cook in a pot, a lot of it is trial and error!. This might help:

You might be putting to much water in, put less in, you can always add more!. A good way to make sure it cooks evenly all the way through is that when a lot of the water has been soaked up, but the rice still has to cook, put some clingfilm onto of the rice then put the lid on the pan!. It should just be a layer of slightly squashed film, loosely put on the top!. Works brilliantly!.

Keep trying!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could change to another sort of rice because not all get sticky, especially the wild sorts don't stick!.

If you like the kind of rice you are have been using, add a bit of rice vinegar to the water and the problem should be solved!. Of course, it has a sour taste, but not as sour as other vinegars (and you don't need to use a lot)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You might not be doing something right!. Here is how you make rice!.

Spray a bowl with PAM cooking spray!.
Measure whatever amount of rice out that you want!. (Ex: 1 c!.)
Pour in double the amount of water as you used rice!. (2 c!.)
Add about 2 T!. of butter!.
Microwave for 5 minutes at a time stirring after each time!.
When it starts to get dryer, microwave for shorter increments!. This will prevent it from getting ahead of you!.
Your rice should eventually get light and fluffy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're cooking it right, I think you might have to fluff it with a fork as soon as it's done!. Just grab a fork and kinda rake up the rice until it is all separated!. Then transfer it to your serving dish!. That's the only thing I can think of!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Before you cook the rice you need to wash it to get rid of the starch!. My mom washes it first in hot water than with cold water repeat it till the water turns slightly clear!. Then cook it!. Hoped I helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you need to put some cooking oil cover the pot and let it take it`s time to cook up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ADD A TEASPOON BUTTER OR OIL TO YOUR RICE!.

AFTER IT HAS COOKED, RINSE IT UNDER COLD WATER AND LET IT REST FOR ABOUT 5 MIN!. SO THAT ALL THE WATER CAN DRAINWww@FoodAQ@Com

don't put too much water on it!. the right measurement of water is: the 2nd line of your middle finger!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
