Toasted marshmallows and s'mores are the obvious ones, but one of my favorite campfire snacks is mini ham-and-cheese (or your favorite other meat/cheese) melty sandwiches!. Assemble them before your trip, wrap them in foil, and toast over the fire for a bit - they're really great!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pouches!. Use a starch (ramen noodles, potatoes), meat (fish, shrimp, thin pieces of chicken), seasonings, and liquids!. Put all in an aluminum foil pack and throw over hot coals!. Visit Alton Brown's page on Food Network, he has some great combinations and even a few dessert recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Potatoes and onions in foil cooked over a campfire is good!. Just be sure to slice the potatoes thin, they will cook faster!. Add butter and a little olive oil, salt & pepper, very good!.
