How do they salt peanuts still in the shell?!

Question: How do they salt peanuts still in the shell!?
I love roasted salted peanuts still in the shell but always wondered how they get salt through the shell to the peanut!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
they are boiled in salted water, then roasted to dry them out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The salt doesn't actually get into the shells (the ones completely closed off, that is)!. It sticks to the outside of the peanut shells!. The reason you taste it is because some of the salt sticks to your hand, and as you put the peanut in your mouth, your tongue comes in contact with your salted fingers!. ^_^' Or if you put the entire shelled peanut into your mouth, the salt on the shell, of course, will be tasted by your tongue!. ^_^Www@FoodAQ@Com

They don't; you're just getting the residual salt that is on the shell onto the peanut as you open and eat it!.

Neat trick, huh!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

it probably seeps through the shell!? idk!. i'm assuming they spray it with a salt water mix rather than just sprinkling it with salt!. then it crystallizes back up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

are you sure the peanut inside is salted!.!.!.i think its just the shell that has saltWww@FoodAQ@Com
