This is a welsh recipe for traditional balckberry pie!.
400g blackberries, picked clean and washed (or enough to fill the pie)
200g granulated sugar
sufficient pastry for a 25cm diameter pie
Begin by rolling out half the pastry thin enough to cover the base of an oven-proof plate!. Now add the blackberries before sprinkling the flour over the top!. Roll the remaining pasry out, cover the plate and blackberries then use a fork to crimp the pastry edges!. Trim off any excess pastry, prick the top of the pie with the fork and sprinkle a little sugar over the top then place the cake in an oven pre-heated to 170°C!. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden (but not too dark)!. Bring out of the oven, allow to cool then cut into sections and serve!. This pie goes excellently well with ice cream!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do it like a cobbler!. There are several easy recipes for this!. The most simple is to just take a regular butter cake mix and pour it over the berries in a baking dish and cook until the cake mix is done!. My favorite is to take the black berries and sprinkle with sugar and milk and let them sit in the fridge over night then take them and lay them out in a 10x13 pan (drain them from the milk) cover loosely with biscuits or crescent rolls, then in a sauce pan combine a can of Mt Dew, a stick of butter, and and cup of sugar!. when everything is melted pour it over everything and bake until the top is brown!. It is Soooo good, and it works with most any fruit!. we have done it with blackberries, blueberries, peaches and apples!. also If you don't want to use Mt dew you can use any citric drink including OJ, or pineapple juice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
