My 12 year old daughter makes all of our choc chip cookies now, b/c her recipe (from her Barbie cookbook!!!) is THE BEST (stop laughing, I am NOT kidding, it's better that the Nestle Tollhouse recipe) and so is her method of putting them on the cookie sheet:
This makes about 20 cookies, but it doubles very well!.
1 egg, beaten
8 Tbsp butter, softened (don't microwave)
1!.5 c flour (unbleached is best)
1/3 c light brown sugar
1/4 white sugar
1/2 tsp salt (don't omit this!)
1/2 tsp baking soda
6 oz semi sweet chips (she uses the nestle chips)
1/2 tsp vanilla (don't get the imitation)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, in a bowl, beat butter with all of the sugar until creamy and smooth, and gradually beat in the egg!. Beat in the flour, salt, vanilla and baking soda, then stir in the choc chips!.
Now here's her technique: with super clean hands, she roughly "balls" the dough (about a Tbsp) and places it on the cookie sheet (ungreased)!. Make sure to leave plenty of space between each cookie!.
Bake for 14 minutes (that is how we like them, but you can take them out a minute early if you like them less done, or leave them in a minute or two longer for more brown ones)!.
I kid you not, every time we bring these cookies somewhere they are ALWAYS the best ones and people always ask for this ridiculous Barbie recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you purchase a bag of the semi-sweet chocolate chips, there's ALWAYS a recipe on the package!. And it's a very good recipe!. Easy, detailed instructions that anyone could follow!. When you go to the baking supplies aisle in the store, pick up a package and look at the recipe!. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised that there's a complete and easy-to-follow recipe on the package!. Buying ready-made dough isn't a recipe, so I really wouldn't recommend that unless you really don't want to make your own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
