Size of loaf pan?!
I am planning on making a meat loaf tonight and the recipe says to put it in a loaf pan but I do not have one!. Is there another size pan that would be ok!? What are the dimensions of a loaf pan!? We have an 8x11 pan, would that work!? or 8x8!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can shape it into a loaf shape and put it in the 8x11 pan!.!.!. it's less messy that way anyway (because all of the fat and goop gets to fall away from the meatloaf)!. I never cook meatloaf in a loaf pan!.

Just shape it into a loaf in the center of a 9"x13" pan, or even a jellyroll pan that has sides!.!.!. Doesn't have to be supported on it's 4 sides to bake nicely!. You can even bake it in the 8"x8" square pan, and serve squares of it, instead of slices! (cut 3 by 3) Or make large meatballs and put them in muffin tin cups!.!.!.for individual Muffin Meatloaves! (put a pan under muffin tin to catch any drips, though)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Just mold it into the shape of a typical loaf pan (Mine are all 4*4*8)
Put it into a larger pan (9*13 if you want veggies too)!. I usually put mine on a rack set in the pan so it does not swim in the fat while cooking!. A larger pan also allows you to surround the meatloaf with root vegetables for roasting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can just make a loaf out of the meat mixture and put it in the middle of any pan like a 9x13 or the 8x11!. It doesnt have to touch the sides or fill the whole pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
8X11; the other pan is too small!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
