this is a great recipe my grandfather gave me for mashed potatoes its very delicious and goes excellent with steak but you will need a potato masher which you can buy at your local supermarket!. or you could use a fork but i dont recomend it since the fork will most likely bend plus it takes a lot more work then using a potato masher!.
4 pounds golden creamer potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
1 bay leaf
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Put the potatoes into a large pot, add the bay leaf, 2 tablespoons salt, and cover with cold water!. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes!. Drain them well and remove the bay leaf!. Meanwhile, heat the cream and butter in a small saucepan!. Put the potatoes into a large bowl and (you will need a potato masher for this) mash them!. Add the hot cream and season with salt and pepper!. Mix together with a spoon and add the chives!.
hope you enjoy it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am assuming this is for a date but it makes a difference w/ whom you will be sharing your meal
Ur guys
you could do
bbq beans w/ fries
roasted corn and a spinach artichoke dip as a starter but wouldn't do this w/ the ladies for obvious reasons ;~0
w/ the ladies
I would do a nice crisp chilled salad or a fresh fruit salad
asparagus lightly steamed
baked potato
for a starter I would maybe choose a shrimp w/ cocktail plate
EnjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com
