Do shrimp and bacon go together?!

Question: Do shrimp and bacon go together!?
I want to make fettucine alfredo for supper and I have a craving for shrimp!.

I know I can put the shrimp in it and will be good!. However, my husband likes it when I make it more like a carbonara with bacon and mushrooms (usually I add cooked chicken)!. I know he can do without the chicken!. I'm not too sure about the mushrooms!.!.!.!.but I'm pretty certain he'd really miss the bacon!. lol

If I made it with shrimp and bacon would it still be good!? Do you think I could still add the mushrooms (even though I'd prefer broccoli)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
yummo!
yes to mushrooms, not really to broccolli, youll overpower the whole dish with it!.
I would just sub the shrimp for the chicken!. A bag of precooked shrimp thrown in at the end would be easy and tastyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Shrimp and bacon go well together: think of bacon-wrapped shrimp on a skewer on the grill!. Yum!

I'd crumble the bacon as in the carbonara and add it at the end!. I'd also throw in the mushrooms towards the end as well because mushrooms go with everything, don't they!?

A little cajun seasoning totally changes the flavor and makes it spicy!. I'd try that sometime too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds incredibly good to me - and yes, the mushrooms would be great with the pasta, too!. As the person above said, "have you never had bacon wrapped shrimp!?" If I were you, I would save at least 6 shrimp out - wrap each in half a strip of bacon, secure it with a toothpick and grill for just a few minutes until the bacon is crispy!. Serve that as an appetizer to your pasta dish!. Awesome!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
