This is my all time favorite recipe to throw together when I want something sweet!.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter
2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter or margarine!. Add sugar and mix well!. Cool!.
Add eggs and vanilla, blend well!. Add the rest of the ingredients
except the chocolate chips!.
Put into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan!. Sprinkle with chocolate chips
and bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes!. Cool
and cut into bars!.
I don't use the chocolate chips or walnuts in mine!. I also also bake
them for the minimum amount of time!. They will be really gooey
right out of the oven but I let them cool completely in the pan
(usually overnight if I bake in the evening)!. Then they cut

oatmeal raisin cookies
2/3 c!. (1 1/3 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/4 c!. granulated sugar
1/2 c!. milk
1 tsp!. vanilla
1 1/2 c!. flour
1 tsp!. baking soda
1 tsp!. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp!. salt
2 1/2 c!. uncooked quick oats
1 ? c!. raisins
Mix all ingredients together!. Mix well!. Chill!. Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet!. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar!. Bake 9-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven!.
Mini Peach Pies
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups fresh (or frozen) peaches
1 refrigerated piecrust
2 1/2 Tbsp!. graham cracker crumbs
2 Tbsp!. sugar
1/8 tsp!. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375!.
Cut 5 circles from piecrust (can also be cut into rectangles)!. Roll out slightly, then place on a baking sheet!.
Place about a 1/2 Tbsp!., or enough to cover the crust leaving about a ? inch without graham cracker crumbs!. Cut the thawed peaches into chunks!. In medium bowl, mix peaches with sugar and cinnamon!. Divide peaches among crusts!. Fold edge of each crust up and over peaches to form pies!. Before baking brush with a little bit of butter and sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and sugar on top (1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp!. cinnamon)!. Bake about 25-30 minutes until pies are golden brown!. Let cool 5 minutes before serving!.

? 2 cups unbleached flour
? 1 tablespoon sugar
? 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
? 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
? 1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves, crumbled
? 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
? 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
? 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
? 1/4 cup butter, melted
? 1 large egg
Heat oven to 400 degrees F!. Grease bottoms of 12 muffin-pan cups or line with paper baking cups!. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off!.
In large bowl, combine flour sugar, baking powder, baking soda, sage, parsley and cheese, blend well!. Add butter/sour milk, margarine and egg; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened!. Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3rds full!.
Bake at 400 degrees F!. for 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean!.

? 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, firmly packed
? 2 ? teaspoons all-purpose flour
? 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!. Thoroughly mix the margarine, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla!. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture alternately with the peaches!. Thoroughly mix batter until all ingredients are fully incorporated!. Grease 10-12 regular size muffin pan sections!. Fill each muffin section 3/4 full with the batter!. Bake 25-35 minutes until firm to touch or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean!.

1 cup of fresh raspberries
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 3 oz pkg cream cheese
6 tablespoons of butter
1 ? teaspoons of vanilla
2 ? teaspoons of baking powder
2 cups of flour
? teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F!.
Grease muffin tin or line each with paper cases!.
In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese with ? cup of sugar, 1 egg and ? teaspoon of vanilla until completely smooth!.
Put to one side for later!.
In a saucepan, combine the butter, milk and remaining vanilla stir continually over a medium heat until the butter has melted!.
Cool the mixture until warm to touch, then beat in the remaining 2 eggs, 1 at a time!.
In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, flour, salt, and remaining ? cup of sugar!.
Add butter and milk mixture to the flour and baking powder mixture and stir until blended!.
Add the raspberries and gently fold into the mixture!.
Divide the mixture equally among each muffin tin/paper case!.
Spoon approximately 2 teaspoons of cream cheese mixture on top of each of the muffins!.
Bake about for about 20 minutes or until the muffins are springy but firm!.
Cheese and Garlic Biscuits
2 ? cups Bisquick baking mix
? cup cold milk
4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick)
? teaspoon garlic powder
1 ? cups grated cheddar cheese
Bush on Top:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
? teaspoon dried parsley flakes
? teaspoon garlic powder
pinch salt

1!. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees!.
2!. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork!. You don't want to mix too thoroughly!. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas!. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ? teaspoon garlic!. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix!.
3!. Drop approximately ?-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop!.
4!. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown!.
5!. When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave!. Stir in ? teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes!. Use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits!. Use up all of the butter!. Makes one dozen biscuits!.

Filling

2 cups raisins, plumped and patted dry
1 egg white, beaten until foamy
Dough
Hand whisk the water and yeast together in the bowl of an electric mixer and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes for the yeast to dissolve!. Whisk in the eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla, dry milk, salt, cinnamon, all purpose flour and 2 cups of the bread flour to make a thick dough!. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes, gradually adding more bread flour as required to form a soft, elastic dough!. Form the dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl!. Place the bowl inside of a large plastic bag, close the bag loosely and let the dough rise for about 45 minutes, or until almost doubled in size!. Gently deflate the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes!. Preheat the oven to 375!. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to a 20 by 10 inch rectangle!. Spread the butter over the dough, then sprinkle it with the cinnamon, sugar, and raisins!. Starting from a short side, roll up the dough into a log and flatten it gently!. Cut into 12 equal slices and place them on 2 baking sheets stacked together with parchment paper on the top sheet!. Brush with the egg white and then sprinkle them with sugar, then twist!. Let rise for 15 minutes!. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes

3/8 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350!. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan lightly with non stick cooking spray Line the bottom with parchment paper!. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper!. Set aside!.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the melted butter, granulated and brown sugars, vanilla, and eggs!. Beat well on the lowest speed!. In a medium bowl, hand whisk the cocoa, flour, baking soda, and salt together!. Fold into the batter and blend well with the mixer, stopping once or twice to scrape the bottom of the bowl!. Fold in the nuts!. Pour into the prepare pan!. Smooth the top with a wet knife or metal spatula!.
Place the pan onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set and slightly firm, but not dry!. Let cool completely on a wire rack, then freeze for 1 hour!. Unmold and peel off the parchment paper!. Cut into squares, roughly 2 1/2x2 1/2 inches!. Wrap each in waxed paper and keep frozen or refrigerated!. To serve for a party, piles the brownies onto a platter and dust with powdered sugar!.
