I know it might sound like a stupid question but how dose alcohol cook out of dishes!? Like when making pasta if you add a wine what happens to the alcohol as it cooks, what happens to it dose it just turn into water, dose it evaporate !?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Alcohol always evaporates in heat conditions such as cooking!. There is a tiny residue left in the dish other than the flavor, but not more than you would have in flavoring extracts used in baked goods!.
As the alcohol is evaporated, you are cooking the dish down so all goes up in a cloud of steam, liquid and all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
