Yes, I have this problem too - and so do other people I know!. Rice Cookers just aren't designed to handle small quantities of rice!. I get around it by taking the lid off every few minutes (whilst the rice is cooking) and stirring the rice so it doesn't stick to the bottom!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I had the same problem!. I asked a friend of mine that was Japanese and he pointed out to me that it wasn't a big enough rice cooker!. I needed to get a big one from a Asian grocery (market) store!. That is were he got his and he leaves his on all day and it never burns!.

also, I now buy rice from a Asian grocery store!. It is sticky and I love it! I don't mean mushy but sticky like Asian rice is!. You'll never buy that Uncle Ben's stuff again!

Can you clean up the one you have and take it back!? Most places will take it back even if used because you are not satisfied with the rice cooker!.
Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

hello,
i used to have this problem,
what i find you need to do is stir it every 2-5 minutes!.
it works by letting all of the rice move around and breath so it doesn't get sticky and burn slightly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try turning the rice half way during cookng period and with the double water add one load at start then when turning rice add the other load!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
