What are you cooking!.
How is it prepared!?
Sounds like a roast!. Usually fat side goes up so fat bastes the meat!. Start it at 350, then let us know what it is!.
I would guess that 2 pounds figure about 15 minutes per pound for rare to med-rare a bit longer if you want it more done!.
Most beef, I think tastes better if done rare to med- rare looses flavor and juices if done well!. Since you are pregnant the rare or med rare should not be a problem for you if that is a concern of yours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook with fat side down!. You don't need foil!. just base it with its own fat oils after it starts cooking to keep it moist!. cook at 350 in a roasting pan!. No it won't taste horrible if its well done!. check your pantry for meat tenderizer and salt and pepper your meat!. Add potatoes or carrots with it to add flavor !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is this a beef roast, a casserole, prime rib, etc!? Usually you cook meat in the oven at approximately 350 degrees!. I wouldn't think that the meat would taste dry if you cook it well done but keep it marinated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Low and slow!. It'll be tender but will have marinated in its own juices!. 45 mins a pound then 15!. Let it stand for ten then carve!. Don't forget to score it firstWww@FoodAQ@Com

We have to have some more information, like what you are cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
