I love to do whole fish on the grill!. Sardines are great, salmon is divine!. Whatever you cook, put some fresh herbs on the coals just before you lay the meat/veg on the grill!. Close the lid and let it smoke the food as it cooks, imparting a depth of flavor that is distinct and delicious!. I like lavender, rosemary, grapevine cuttings, sage, or thyme - depending on the food you're cooking!. Experiment with which flavor goes with which food!. You will find the combinations you like best!.
I love the wonderful pinks from the south of France!. They are light enough for the summer and boozy enough to stand up to grilled, smoky food!.
I think I've talked myself into cooking outside this evening!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Over here it would be chicken, ribs & pork chops & sausage!. Sometimes shish-k-bobs with steak, shrimp or scallops & onion, bell pepper & pineapple or just a good steak!. No matter what we always have a good sausage & BBQ sauce going on the side!. Sometimes we put some deer meat on too & every once in a while we'll cook a pork roast or loin!. Seems like there is always beer, bloody mary's, rum & coke, daiquires or margarita's!. We enjoyed doing plank salmon not too long ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

During the summer, I never barbecue without throwing corn on the cob on the grill!. I've read all kinds of ways of doing it, but I peel the corn, clean off all the silk and just throw the ears on the grill!. I like it when it starts to get brown (or even a little burnt!), but all you really need to do is heat it through!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
