This trout recipe works best with a whole fish because you will want to place all the herbs inside of it!.

2 1 pound trout
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh basil, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Mix together parsley, olive oil, basil, rosemary, and garlic!. Spread evenly on the inside of the fish!. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours!. Oil cooking grate and preheat grill!. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side over a medium heat!. Carefully remove the fish from grill and serve!.

Butter
Onions
Mushrooms
Salt and pepper
Trout of any size

Cut out a sheet of foil twice the size of the fish, and lay the foil flat!. Put several small trout or one big trout (cleaned with skin on) in the center of the foil, and fold the sides up into a rectangular shape!.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter for every 4 inches of trout!. Add half a sliced medium onion, half a cup of sliced mushrooms!. Sprinkle with salt and pepper!.

Fire up the grill to high temperature, and place the foil enclosed trout on the grill!. Cook for approximately 20 minutes!. Fish is ready to be taken off when the flesh is whitish in color!. Take the fish out of the foil using a spatula, place it on a plate and use the fork to peel away the skin!. After this is done, use the fork to slowly separate the meat from the bones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love the crispy skin of grilled (or fried) trout!. Like most fish, trout wants to be cooked simply so that the subtle flavor shines through!. Rub the skin and cavity with olive oil, sprink with salt and pepper and put it on a hot grill (which means BBQ where I come from, but the same method works if you mean broil)!. Don't walk off, fish cooks very quickly and please don't overcook it!. Unless your trout is huge, it will cook in 3-5 minutes per side (depending on how hot your grill is as well as the thickness of the fish)!.
As I said, simple is best, but you could dress it up a bit by putting a couple slices of lemon and maybe a few fresh mint leaves or a 3" stem of rosemary!. Go easy on dry herbs because they are usually much more intense!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baked trout with orange, ginger & butter sauce !. Marinate the trout with virgin olive oil, thyme , salt and pepper!. Put them in the baking dish!. cooked them in the oven for 12 minutes at 170 degrees farenheit!.

Sauce!. sautee the ginger root cut in match sticks with butter and add fresh squeezed orange juice!.salt and pepper to taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
