Need help quick...how soon after chopping fresh garlic do I need to use it?!

Umm well!.!.!. If you put it in an airtight container and store it in your fridge it lasts up to a week [Or more, I usually use them up all in a week!.]

Health experts say after chopping up the garlic, let it sit out for 15 minutes and then put it in whatever it is that you are cooking!. (During the 15 minutes, some kind of chemical process is taking place) I wouldn't chop it up until I have everything in place and then follow the 15 minute rule above!.

You really should use it right away, or before it oxidizes, unless it isn't peeled , then it can sit out in a cool dry place and it will be just fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
