Answers:
Oh, I've been there before and it's terrible! With many trial and errors from the past, here's what works for me!. I put a little water in the bottom of the dish for the extra steaming, drizzle some Olive Oil and Butter over top with some S&P,(or whatever seasonings you like) then I cover them with Saran Wrap with a fold over vent on one side of my dish!. I cook them half way, then take them out and stir them, then cook them the other half of time and let them rest for a couple of minutes before taking them out!. I have purchased those new steamer vegetables from Green Giant when they were on sale but they were full of salt and butter, way too much for me, so I'll stick with my own fresh cut veggies or even some fresh frozen ones!. I still like my Baked Potatoes in the oven, the microwave doesn't come close but I do like to par cook my potatoes in the Microwave for doing Mashed Potatoes, oven roasted, sauteed or potato salads!. I hope this helps you out today with your quest for the freshest veggies and potatoes in your Microwave!Www@FoodAQ@Com

those take different cooking times!.

Diced potatoes, put in a m/w-safe dish w/ lid and a Tbsp or so of water!. Nuke on high for 7-8 minutes!.

Carrots, do the same, only nuke for 5-6 min!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think carrots do better without the water and lid, just nuke 'em!. Not long, like 1 or 2 minutes per serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
