Question: I bought fresh BEETS!. What is the most energy efficient way to cook them!?
Answers:
Put them on the sidewalk!. ( I hate beets!.) Let the sun do the dirty work, and maybe someone will run off with them!.

Agreed!. Borsht it!. Blanch the beets, removes the skins, cut up, add oignons, cellery, carrots, whatever else!. And just sit on medium for a couple hours!. Either purré it or leave as is!. And serve with sour cream!. Easiest and best way to have beets!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can wrap them in foil with a little oil and seasning and bake or grill them( turn often to avoid burnt spots)!. Peeling them and cutting them up into smaller pieces is quicker than cooking whole beets!. Use gloves unless you like rosy hued hands!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make borscht - a huge pot, then that's enough cooked to last for several meals, and you can freeze some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
