My recipe I always use calls for both baking soda and powder!. I am out of baking soda so will it make a difference with just the one or should I add more baking powder!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

your recipe probably calls for buttermilk, that's why it calls for the baking soda!. if you use regular milk instead, you can omit the baking soda!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For some reason, it makes a bigger difference than you would think!. Even though baking powder contains baking soda!.
I have used the same amount of powder called for (my head recipe is a tablespoon appx) but added an extra egg and a little more salt - like a 1/2 teaspoon more over the 1 teaspoon I already use!. The enzymes found in the extra egg and the bit of extra salt seem to help the pancakes still fluff up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
