Question: Easy, fast, good, not out of a box every day meals!?
Does anyone have good recipes for every day meals!? I do know how to 'cook', but I mainly do it out of a box and my fiancee doesn't perfer em!. I know how to make basic traditional mexican dishes but that gets old quick! I need help, please!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are a few simple recipes that I use a lot!.

Chicken Noodle Casserole
2 cans of chicken breast meat, packed in juice, drained and flaked
1 12-ounce package of wide egg noodles, drained
2 cans cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tsp!. soy sauce
1/3 c!. milk or water or chicken stock
1/4 tsp!. garlic powder
1/8 tsp!. onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
16 Ritz? crackers, crushed finely
2 T!. melted butter

Directions:
Cook noodles according to package directions, draining noodles 1 minute before fully cooked!. In a large bowl, combine chicken, both cans of soup, cheese, soy sauce, milk (or stock or water), garlic and onion powder and season with salt and pepper as desired!. Carefully fold in noodles!. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour noodle mixture into dish!. Mix melted butter and cracker crumbs and sprinkle over noodle mixture!. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbly!. Serves 6 generously!.


CREAMY CHICKEN AND RICE
2 bags Success rice
4 c!. chopped chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c!. sour cream
1 c!. milk
2 c!. grated cheese
Spread rice in buttered 9 x 13 inch dish!. Blend chicken, soups, sour cream, milk, and 1 cup of cheese!. Spread over rice and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees!. Top with remaining cheese and heat until melted!. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving!.


Four-Cheese Chicken Alfredo
1 cup refrigerated four-cheese Alfredo sauce
1-1/4 cups milk
2 Tbsp!. KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp!. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp!. garlic powder
1 pkg!. (9 oz!.) refrigerated fettuccine, uncooked
5 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1-1/4 lb!.)
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

PREHEAT oven to 400°F!. Mix Alfredo sauce and milk in medium saucepan; bring just to boil on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally!. Meanwhile, mix Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic powder until well blended; set aside!.
SPRAY 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray!. Separate fettuccine noodles; place in prepared dish!. Pour Alfredo sauce mixture over noodles; press noodles into sauce to completely coat noodles with sauce!. Top with chicken!. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese mixture and the mozzarella cheese!.
BAKE 30 min!. or until chicken is cooked through (170oF)!. Let stand 5 min!. before serving!.


Beef and Rice Casserole
1 lb ground beef (browned and drained)
2 envelopes brown gravy mix
Water (as needed on gravy mix package)
1 c!. rice (cooked)
add onion powder and garlic salt to taste
Directions:
Cook rice according to package directions while browning your ground beef (you can also use ground turkey)!.
Drain ground beef and add gravy mix and amount of water called for in 2 packages of mix!. Stir over medium heat till thickened!. Add cooked rice to beef and gravy mixture!. Stir together, add salt and pepper to taste!.
Variations:
Add cooked macaroni or egg noodles instead of rice!. Stir in cooked vegetables (broccoli is excellent), mushooms and/or a splash of soy sauce for extra flavor!.


Classic Baked Penne Casserole
8 ounces of Penne pasta, cooked and drained
1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and drained (add some spices while cooking if desired)
1 26-ounce jar of your favorite pasta sauce (or about 3 cups of your homemade sauce)
2 c!. Mozzarella cheese, shredded (you can also add a little parmesan cheese if you have it on hand)
Parsley, dried or fresh and chopped
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
* Preheat oven to 350 degrees!.
* In a large bowl, mix together cooked pasta, beef, sauce and 1 c!. of the shredded cheese!.
* Place pasta mixture into baking dish and cover with lid or aluminum foil!. Bake for 30-35 minutes!.
* Take dish out of the oven and remove cover, top with remaining 1 c!. of shredded cheese and sprinkle with parsley!. Bake for another 8-10 minutes!.
Makes 4-6 servings!. This recipe can be double easily and cooked in a 10x13 baking pan!.


Mushroom Ham Fettuccine
1/2 pound thinly sliced, fully cooked, ham (cut into strips)
1 cup sliced mushrooms (I use Green Giant, canned)
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons plus 1/2 cup butter or margarine, divided
1 package (12 ounces) fettuccine
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (I use fresh)
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
In a skillet, sauté the ham, mushrooms and garlic in 3 tablespoons butter!. Meanwhile, cook fettuccine according to package directions; drain!. Melt the remaining butter in a large saucepan!. Stir in the fettuccine, Parmesan cheese, sour cream and pepper!. Add the ham mixture; toss to coat!.


TERIYAKI CHICKEN
1-1/2 lbs!. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in thin pieces
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup lite soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup Splenda*
1/4 tsp!. garlic powder
1/8 tsp!. ground ginger
3/4 tbsp!. cornstarch
1 tbsp!. canola oil
1!. Combine water, soy sauce, brown sugar, Splenda, garlic and ginger; whisk to mix well!.
2!. Marinate chicken in one third of the sauce 2 to 3 hours, turning once!. Stir cornstarch into remaining sauce and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens slightly!. Cool to room temperature!.
3!. Drain marinade off of chicken and reserve 2 tbsp!. of the marinade; discard remaining marinade!. Stir fry chicken in vegetable oil until chicken is almost done!. Stir in reserved 2 tbsp!. of sauce and continue stir frying until chicken is done and glazed!. Serve over hot rice with cooled teriyaki sauce!. Yield: 4 servings!.

BAKED ZITI
Your favorite spaghetti sauce
1 box ziti pasta (tube shaped macaroni)
8 oz!. ricotta cheese
1/2 c!. milk
8 oz!. sliced mozzarella cheese
Pinch of sweet basil
Pinch of garlic powder
Pinch of Italian seasoning
8-12 inch baking dish
1 med!. bowl for mixing
Prepare pasta as stated on package!. In a medium mixing bowl dump ricotta cheese into bowl mix in the milk and spices, stir, consistency should be similar to pancake batter or slightly thicker!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees!. In an 8 x 12 inch baking dish!. Prepare bottom of dish with 2 tablespoons of spaghetti sauce!.
In medium bowl add pasta to ricotta cheese!. Mix well!. Then dump into 8 x 12 inch pan!. Lay mozzarella cheese on top of macaroni!. Add 2 tablespoons of spaghetti sauce to top to keep mozzarella from burning!. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly warm!. Let stand before serving and top with more spaghetti sauce to serve!. Add bread and salad for a complete meal!.

Stir Fry is an easy recipe, pick out your favorite vegatables and saute them together and add chicken or steak to it!. Make a pasta or rice to go along with it!. A lot of the times you can find a stir fry sauce at the store that you mix the vegatables with in different flavors like Terriayki!.

Or find a meal that you can remake different recipes with through out the week!. Like a pork loin which you can slow cook through out the day or brisket!. You can make those with any side dishes and through out the week you could shred the meat and make a sloppy joe or shredded bbq sandwiches, or even beef chimichangas since you know how to cook mexican!.

You could also roast a chicken or buy one already made at the store, you can shred the chicken or cut it up to make a lot of things like chicken soup, enchiladas, chicken salad sandwiches or like I said above bbq chicken sandwiches!.

You search whatever kind of dish you want to make - let's say you want to cook fried chicken - and it gives you every recipe they have for some variation of fried chicken, along with a rating of how much time is involved and how easy it is!. (they're usually dead on with both!.) You can read thru each recipe until you find one you can handle!. That part can be time consuming, but I think it's worth it if you're trying to make something specific!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

what kind of food are you looking to make!? you can look through the food network website and find super simple meals to create all together!. just an idea tho!.!. i always have a jar of pesto around, you can buy it store made and make wonders with it! boil some pasta then toss it with pesto and add some grilled chicken, or bake a little foil paper pouch of chicken/pork chop on a bed of uncooked rice and some frozen artichoke hearts with a dallop of pesto on it and a few teaspoons of chicken broth for 30-45 min and viola! its an exotic taste that you can add to anything!.!. like grilled fish!. good luck!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Spaghetti, baked ziti, tacos, sloppy joe sandwiches, Beef Stroganoff (browned hamburger meat, 2 cans cream of mushroom, small container of sour cream-mix together and serve over noodles), BBQ pork sandwiches (cook pork in crock pot until tender, shred with fork and add your fav BBQ sauce towards the end), Italian chicken (marinate boneless chicken in Italian dressing then grill or bake for 1-2 hrs at 350 degrees-serve with white rice), Crock Pot pork chops (place boneless pork chops in crock pot with 3 cans of Golden Mushroom soup-cook all day and serve with rice or mashed potatoes)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
