Cloves is nice in chinese soup and some thais!. MAke the stock first put your clove in for smell then drain it and start making your stew afterward!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I cook about as often as I drive to California, so whether or not you try this depends on how attached you are to this stew!. If you try running it through a sieve and then rinsing it and it still has too much of a clove flavor, I know putting a whole peeled potato in a soup that has too much SALT will absorb the salt and make it edible!. You might see if it will absorb some of the clove flavor, but that's a last ditch effort and I'm not saying that it will work at all!. It's just a suggestion!. Good Luck and I'm sorry about your stew!. I hate it when things like that happen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Cloves are good in curries (not too many though ) but I've never tried them in a stew!.
I'd pick them out or put it through a sieve and make it into a soup!.
Stew usually tastes better the next day anyway!.
Bit hot for stew though isn't it !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Without picking all of cloves out there is little you can do!. It would be a shame to waste it but if you don't want to eat it, then give it to the dog or cat!.
The bin is the only other option!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
