Picnic planning. What to bring?!


Question: Picnic planning!. What to bring!?
My boyfriend and I are planning a picnic for sometime next week at a local quiet park!. We are not old enough for wine or anything like that as I am 18 and he is 19!. We will not be cooking for this event but do need some ideas on what to bring with us!. What types of foods, and how to prepare for it!. We've been together for a year and 8 months almost and this IS our first picnic =) hah!. All help is greatly appreciated!. Thanks ahead of time!.

Bring sparkling grape juice (Catawba) in place of wine Or you can simply bring some cold sparkly soda like Ginger Ale, Fresca or 7up works fine!. Add some lemon slices to brighten up your drink!. Be sure to bring some bottled water in case you get thirsty!.

Here are some ideas for a romantic picnic!. Keep your food choices light, not heavy and lots of color to make your spread as festive as possible!.

!!. Pack your items in a cute picnic basket (buy a large one so you can use it again)

2!. Pack the following!. Pre slice your fruit and pack in plastic baggies to save room!. Watermelon, grapes, strawberries, mangos!. orange slices!. Whatever the both of you like!.

Fresh creamy cole slaw tastes soooo good in the summertime and goes great with sandwiches!.

3!. Make assorted finger sandwiches!. Egg salad, cotto salami, sandwich spread!. Use dark and white bread for a colorful spread!.

4!. Sweet baby gherkin pickles, crunchy sun chips or other crunchy snack you both like!.

5!. Home made cupcakes!.

6!. Two plastic champagne glasses for the sparkling soda!. Make a wonderful toast in honor of the two of you!.

7!. A pretty blanket to sit on!.

8!. Festive napkins, paper plates and colored plastic utensils!.

9!. Small bouquet of wild flowers- you can pick when you get to the lake or the park!. A small can to put the flowers in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, welch's does make a non-alcohol wine!. fresh siced fruit, fried chicken, corn bread, baked beans (if you need a good recipe e-mail me) german potatoe salad, olive and cabbage slaw (e-mail for recipe) but above all avoid anything with mayo, if you are not going to eat it with in about 1 hr of taking it out of fridgeWww@FoodAQ@Com

I suggest bringing a few slices of bread and prepacked lettuce,tomatoes,cheese mayo,pickles and whatever else you like on sandwiches in Ziploc bags that way its not too much to carry and when you finish you can throw the bags away, also some fresh fruit!. good luck!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah they have good fake wine these days also one of my new favorite things is the apple pomegranite sparkling apple cider!.!.!.also as for food i'd take fruits & veggies & some sort of sandwich or pasta salad!.!.!.something easy to eat & easy to clean up ya know!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sliced french bread, fresh fruit, such as strawberries, cheese and something like salami!. Usually most grocery stores will have an area that sells non alcoholic beers and wines!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
