Question: Looking for some new Dinner Dishes that are kid friendly!.!?
Most of our dinner dishes can be converted to vegetarian, as I haven't eaten meat in 16 years!. My husband likes spicy and the kids like more plain dishes!. This works well for chili, pasta's, salads, some casseroles etc!.
I'm just looking for some *new* things to introduce my kids to!.
Do you have any unique but still kid friendly and family friendly recipes that you love!? I would love to hear them!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tater Tot Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
1 (32 ounce) package frozen
potato rounds
1 (16 ounce) container sour
cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar
cheese 1 (10!.75 ounce) can
condensed cream of
mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French-fried
onions

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish!.
2!. Arrange tater tots in the prepared baking dish!.
3!. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cheese, and mushroom soup!. Pour this mixture over the tater tots!. Sprinkle onions over the top of the casserole!.
4!. Bake in the 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 45 to 60 minutes


Pizza Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups uncooked egg noodles
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 cup sliced pepperoni
sausage
16 ounces pizza sauce
4 tablespoons milk
1 cup shredded mozzarella
cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
2!. Cook noodles according to package directions!.
3!. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the onion, garlic and green bell pepper!. Drain excess fat!. Stir in the noodles, pepperoni, pizza sauce and milk, and mix well!. Pour this mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish!.
4!. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, top with the cheese, then bake for 5 to 10 more minutes!.


Baked Macaroni and Cheese

INGREDIENTS:
2 slices bacon
8 ounces penne pasta
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
2!. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet!. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown!. Drain, crumble and set aside!.
3!. In a large pot with boiling salted water cook pasta until al dente!. Drain!.
4!. In a medium skillet saute the chopped onion, and minced garlic!. Take off heat and add chopped cooked bacon and set aside!.
5!. To make the sauce, in a medium saucepan melt the butter or margarine over low heat!. Once melted, add the flour and stir constantly for 2 minutes!. Gradually add milk and continue stirring until thickened!. Stir in 2 cups of the grated Cheddar cheese and stir until melted!.
6!. Combine cooked pasta, sauteed vegetables and sauce!. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish!. Add the last cup of grated Cheddar cheese to top of mixture!.
7!. Bake uncovered in preheated oven until cheese on top is melted and brown, 15 to 20 minutes!. Serve warm!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

make some homemade calzones!. Get some pizza dough from the supermarket along with some ricotta cheese and mozzarella!. Mix them together and make a half moon pastry with your pizza dough, (indviduals to whatever each child and your husbands tastes are) add some sausage, meatballs sliced or pepperoni slices to top of cheese before closing dough on calzones!. serve with some marinara sauce on side for dipping!. The dough cost less than 2!.00 in store and you can make extras for leftovers and it can be a family night!. You could make a vegetarian one!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

ATHENOS Traditional Crumbled Feta Cheese 4 cups mixed salad greens 8 cucumber slices 4 tomato slices PREHEAT grill to medium heat!. Grill burgers 8 minutes or until heated through (160°F), turning after 4 minutes and brushing with 2 Tbsp!. of the dressing!.

TOSS onion and cheese with remaining 1/4 cup dressing!.

DIVIDE greens evenly among 4 plates!. Place burgers on greens; top evenly with onion mixture, cucumber and tomato!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
