Question: What is the fruit, small, bright orange with a dry leaf surrounding it!?
It's sweet but has grape tomato texture!. Smooth and perfectly round!. It's mostly used as a garnish or made into jam!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

From your description, the fruit seems to be a kumquat!. Or it could possibly be a tomatillo!. Here is a description and links to pictures of both fruits from Wikipedia:

This fruit belongs to family solanceae (tomato, brinjal family)!. I have eaten this fruit which is available in winter in India!. It is known as gooseberry in our market, but I am sure it has some different name!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its a persimmon, but only some varieties are sweet!.!.!.!.others are tart!.!.!.!.not because they are not ripe either!.!.!.that is just how they grow!.!.!.

some can be eaten hard like an apple, other varieties need to soften up like avocados do!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
